  • Publication number: 20010025308
Abstract: When a data transmission apparatus transmits data to a data reception apparatus, a band management table storage section maintains a band management table. This table describes band availability identification information based on a relationship between a split band obtained by dividing a data communication band and a band transmission time interval for each split band via a communication line. A global resource management table storage section maintains a global resource management table which indicates states of the data transmission apparatus and the data reception apparatus. A table management section references the band management table and the global resource management table based on a transmission condition request from the data transmission apparatus. An alternative creation section creates an alternative transmission condition indicative of a condition for allowing the data transmission apparatus to send data to the data reception apparatus.

  • Patent number: 6144798
Abstract: An editing apparatus of relatively small size for editing material information highly efficiently and accurately with simplified processing capabilities has a plurality of tape transports, a selector for selecting input and output paths for the tape transports, a playback device for processing reproduced output signals from the tape transports, a temporary storage device for temporarily storing an output signal from the playback device, a signal processor for processing output signals from the tape transports and the temporary storage device, and a controller for controlling the tape transports, the selector, the playback device, the temporary storage device, and the signal processor, and determining the execution of a re-try playback mode for storing an output signal from the playback device again into the temporary storage device.

  • Patent number: 6141484
Abstract: An editing method and an editing system can considerably improve an efficiency for editing. This editing system includes a reproducing-side VCR (2), a temporary recording medium (3), a DME (5), an audio mixer (6), a recording-side VCR (8) and an editing controller (10) under which control image data indicative of a first cut reproduced by the reproducing-side VCR (2) is recorded by the recording-side VCR (8), a part of image data indicative of the first cut is recorded on the temporary recording medium (3), image data indicating a second cut and an output from the temporary recording medium (3) are processed by the DME (5) and the audio mixer (6) and processed results are recorded by the recording-side VCR (8).

  • Patent number: 5877906
Abstract: A single unit video camera recording apparatus comprising multiple recording devices for accommodating removable recording media. Each of the recording devices has a circuit for detecting the remaining amount of the recording medium available. The recording apparatus has a control circuit for switching between the multiple recording devices in response to a comparison with the detected remaining amount and a preset value along with other factors, including the operating mode that has been selected for the apparatus.
