  • Publication number: 20100181828
Abstract: An electric power source device is used in a vehicle equipped with a generator and a battery. The device includes a current detector for detecting a first current flowing in the battery, a DC-DC converter, a capacitor connected to the generator via the DC-DC converter, and a controller. The controller determines the state of charge of the battery based on a first input current detected by the current detector, and detects the running condition of the vehicle. When the vehicle decelerates, the controller controls, based on the determined state of charge of the battery, a second input current input to the capacitor via the DC-DC converter. Thereby, a regenerative electric power generated by the generator is used during the deceleration of the vehicle according to the SOC, thus utilizing the energy that is not conventionally.

  • Publication number: 20070199987
Abstract: An IC card adapter apparatus and a vehicle control device which can control a vehicle, and which are convenient to use are provided with using a proximity type IC card that stores personal information for controlling a vehicle are provided. An IC card adapter apparatus has a first communicating unit 9, 6 for reading personal information from an IC card 2 in which personal information is stored; a storage unit 8 in which personal information is previously stored, a second communicating unit 6, 10 for communicating with a vehicle control device mounted on a vehicle, and a control unit 7 for collating the information read from the IC card 2 by the first communicating unit 6, 9 with the information stored in the storage unit 8. When a result of the collation indicates coincidence, allowing the second communicating unit 6, 10 to perform transmitting and receiving operations, thereby transmitting personal information to the vehicle control device.

  • Patent number: 7042332
Abstract: An electronic key system has a portable apparatus, an operation control device and an update control device. The portable apparatus selectively transmits a first signal and a second signal. The operation control device authorizes an operation of a key based on reception of the first signal. The update control device transmits an update signal in a private region of the owner of the portable apparatus. The portable apparatus has a counter and a portable apparatus controller. When receiving the update signal, the portable apparatus controller resets the counter. When the counting value of the counter is equal to or less than a predetermined limit value, the controller selects the first signal as a signal to be transmitted. When the counting value is in excess of the limit value, the controller selects the second signal as a signal to be transmitted.

  • Publication number: 20030169148
Abstract: An electronic key system includes an electronic key, a key cylinder, a transponder and an antenna. The key cylinder has a key insertion port to which an insertion portion of the electronic key is inserted. The key cylinder has an exposed end at which the key insertion port is formed, and a bottom spaced from the exposed end. The transponder is activated by electromotive force included by an externally applied electromagnetic field. The antenna receives a transponder signal transmitted by the transponder. The antenna is located in the vicinity of the bottom of the key cylinder.
