Abstract: A hydro-pneumatic suspension system adapted to be connected to first and second sides of a vehicle for leveling the vehicle in a side-to-side direction includes first and second absorbers, a pump and a gas spring element. Each of the first and second absorbers includes a piston rod provided with a piston for slidingly engaging a cylinder and an actuating chamber for an actuating liquid formed between the cylinder and the piston. The pump and the gas spring elements are connected to the actuating chamber of the first and second absorbers to control the flow of the actuating liquid. The pump and the gas spring element are independent from the first and second absorbers.

Abstract: A hydropneumatic shock absorber includes an inlet valve and an outlet valve. The inlet valve opens when the piston moves in a contracting direction so that fluid is sucked into a pump chamber, and the outlet valve opens when the piston moves in an extending direction so that the fluid is discharged from the pump chamber into a high-pressure operating chamber. Thus, the pressure in the high-pressure operating chamber does not increase when the wheel bounces, and the oscillation encountered while the vehicle is traveling is properly absorbed so that good riding comfort is realized.

Abstract: A novel 4-carbonyl-substituted coumarin compound which is substituted with a carbonyl group in the position-4 of a 7-alkylaminocoumarin derivative and has photosensitivity in the visible region.

Abstract: Disclosed is a resin composition for ultraviolet luminescent screen comprising one or more of luminescent compound represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X is ##STR2## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are individually a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, alkyl, alkoxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, anyl or aralkyl, and Y is perfluoroalkyl, and A.sup.+ is a cation represented by the formula (II): ##STR3## wherein R.sub.5, R.sub.6, R.sub.7 and R.sub.8 are individually a hydrogen atom, alkyl or aralkyl and may be combined with each other to form a ring, or a pyridium cation which may have a substituent, or a phosphonium cation.

Abstract: A visible radiation sensitive composition comprising:(A) a photosetting resin containing a photosensitive group capable of crosslinking or polymerizing by photoirradiation,(B) a sensitizer represented by the formula (i): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are the same or different lower alkyl, and R.sub.3 is a hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group, alkoxyalkyl group, hydroxyalkoxyalkyl group or alkoxycarbonylalkyl group, and(C) a polymerization initiator.

Abstract: Provided are novel dichroic azo dyestuffs, which contain skeletons represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## at one terminals of the long axes of the molecules of the azo dyestuffs, and liquid crystal compositions containing the dichroic azo dyestuffs in forms dissolved in liquid crystals. These dichroic azo dyestuffs have large dichroic ratios and high durability, and their compositions are employed as useful display devices.

Abstract: A process for producing dianthraquinone-N,N'-dihydrazine or its chlorination product, which comprises condensing 1-aminoanthraquinone at an elevated temperature in the presence of 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone using an oxidizing agent and an alkaline condensing agent, and subjecting the resulting condensation product to a treatment known per se.
