  • Patent number: 6831968
Abstract: The present invention relates to processing the data produced by a telephone exchange, the transfer of the data through a transfer medium to a receiving equipment, and outputting of the processed data in the receiving equipment on a screen or paper. The data are processed in the telephone exchange to reduce the amount of data transferred through the transfer medium. This will be accomplished by using fixed forms in the exchange and the receiving equipment. A form will be used to separate the binary data of the specified fields from the data pre-processed in the telephone exchange. The receiving equipment will use a form that corresponds with that of the telephone exchange to separate the incoming binary data into the parts specified in the form, and each part will be attached to the field indicated by the corresponding identifier information.

  • Patent number: 6587899
Abstract: In a telephone exchange the functional units of call control communicate by way of a common message bus. If a unit wants to know only one thing from the data of a message, then due to the fixed structure of the message all other data contained in the message must also be received. Unnecessary data is thus transmitted in the message bus. The procedure according to the invention is such that the service requester states in the request message exactly what it wants to know. Since the data structure of the service provider, that is, the position of each individual data and the length of the data field, is known to the service requester, only those entries of the data structure are stated in the request message where the requested data is located. The service provider fetches only this data from its data structure and sends it in the reply message to the message bus. Thus, both the request message and the reply message form a dynamic message pair.

  • Patent number: 6553107
Abstract: In known telephone systems it is very difficult to change call detailed records CDR formatted from a raw data flow. In the proposed method, the exchange supplier formats a special mother form, which is a file and which shows in plain language (in ASCII form) all names and parameters of fields in the raw data flow. The operator has a program using a graphic interface and showing the mother form in the display. Beside it a user form blank is seen and the user selects the fields he desires simply by dragging with the mouse the field of his choice from the mother form into the user form and by dropping the field here (drag and drop). In this manner the user formats his own form, which contains such data only which he wishes to have in the CDR. When the user form has arrived at the telephone exchange and at the billing center, it can be activated at any time.

  • Publication number: 20020019830
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and a method for the optimization of data collection in a telecommunication network, said system comprising a digital telephone exchange with a collection mechanism disposed in conjunction with it. By means of the collection mechanism, data is stored in storage locations; data is transferred from the storage locations; and data is backed up, and which system comprises a client application utilizing the collection mechanism. According to the invention, the storage, transfer and copying are implemented in a generic manner. The invention provides the advantage that one and the same mechanism can be used to handle multiple types of data, thus avoiding interpenetrating functions.
