  • Patent number: 8339155
Abstract: A system and method for detecting soft-failures in integrated circuits is provided. A circuit includes a combinatorial logic block having a first signal input and a second signal input, and a latch coupled to an output of the combinatorial logic block. The combinatorial logic block produces a pulse when only one of either a first signal provided by the first signal input or a second signal provided by the second signal input is a logical high value, and the latch captures the pulse if the pulse has a pulse width greater than a second threshold. The pulse has a pulse width that is based on a timing difference between a first signal transition on the first signal and a second signal transition on the second signal, the combinatorial logic block produces the pulse if the timing difference is greater than a first threshold, and the combinatorial logic block operates with balanced inputs.

  • Publication number: 20100244853
Abstract: System and method for diagnosing failures within an integrated circuit is provided. In an embodiment, the apparatus includes a diagnostic cell coupled in series with a buffer chain. The diagnostic cell includes a plurality of logic operators that when activated invert a signal received from the buffer chain. The inversion of the signal from the buffer chain allows the diagnostic cell to determine the location of a failure within an integrated circuit previously determined by a scan chain design for test methodology to contain a failure.

  • Patent number: 6083130
Abstract: A serpentine belt drive system for an automotive vehicle comprising a drive assembly including an internal combustion engine having an output shaft with a driving pulley thereon rotatable about a driving pulley axis. A sequence of driven assemblies each has a driven pulley rotatable about an axis parallel with the driving pulley axis and a serpentine belt mounted in cooperating relation with the driving pulley and with the driven pulleys in a sequence which corresponds with the sequence of the driven assemblies when related to the direction of movement of the belt to cause said driven pulleys to rotate in response to the rotation of the driving pulley. The sequence of driven assemblies includes an alternator assembly including an alternator shaft mounted for rotation about a shaft axis. A hub structure is fixedly carried by the alternator shaft for rotation therewith about the shaft axis. A spring and one-way clutch mechanism couples the alternator pulley with the hub structure.

  • Patent number: 5966678
Abstract: A computer software program for replacing drop-out pixels and erroneous re values in the range channel of a laser detection and ranging system with a median pixel value in a moving square window centered about a pixel being processed whenever a co-registered intensity pixel value in the intensity channel falls below an intensity threshold. During the processing of each range pixel of the target, the computer software program will not alter the range value of the pixel if its corresponding intensity pixel has an intensity value above the intensity threshold. When the intensity value of the corresponding intensity pixel is below the threshold, the intensity guided filter replaces the range value with the median value of all the "good" pixels within a moving window the size of a kernel having X and Y dimensions. This results in the intensity guided filter smoothing out noisy pixels in the range channel of while retaining edge pixel values for the image.
