  • Patent number: 10045887
Abstract: A method is described for making an elasticized absorbent article having a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. First, multiple distributions of elastics are applied on a moving material sheet to form a moving web of an elastic composite. Then, each of a core section and a second material sheet is periodically applied onto the moving web to define a finished web of discrete elastic composite bodies. In subsequent steps, discrete absorbent pants articles are shaped from the finished web.

  • Patent number: 10031891
Abstract: A system and process are disclosed for providing users with page previews during page loading events, such that the delay experienced before the display of page content is reduced. The previews may include screenshots of the pages or of portions thereof, and may be generated periodically and cached by the system for delivery to user devices. The process of generating and delivering the previews via the Internet or some other network may be implemented partly or wholly within an intermediary system that sits logically between the user devices and content servers. The process may be used with existing browsers without the need for any browser modifications, or may be used with a “preview-aware” browser that includes special program code for providing page previews.

  • Patent number: 9898748
Abstract: Features are disclosed for analyzing requests for network accessible content, including but not limited to web pages, to determine which topics and other characteristics are popular or are gaining in popularity (“trending”). Content items or sources may be profiled to determine characteristics that two or more content items or sources may have in common. Content requests from multiple client devices may be tracked and analyzed to determine the trending or popular characteristics. Data feeds or reports regarding the summarized content requests may be generated and distributed to content servers, advertisers, and other entities. The data feeds may be used to tailor content, such as by highlighting or featuring content associated with the most-requested content characteristics, or utilizing demographic data to tailor content for different users.

  • Publication number: 20170296402
Abstract: A method of making an absorbent composite that includes a first fabric, a second fabric, and particles positioned between the two fabrics and absorbent articles made from the absorbent composite. The particles are secured between the two fabric using adhesive, thermal plastic or combinations thereof. The fabrics are bonded together in a manner that limits particle movement between the fabrics. The bond pattern may define pockets or other shapes. In applications in which the bond pattern forms pockets, the particles may be positioned in the pockets. The particles may be SAP particles or other particles with advantageous properties.

  • Patent number: 9782306
Abstract: A secondary internal topsheet and leg wrap structure is provided in a disposable absorbent garment such as a diaper or training pants. The leg wrap structure has a base layer, a top layer, and an elastic construction disposed inbetween. The elastic construction includes a plurality of spaced apart elastic elements that are aligned in a generally in generally parallel relation. The leg wrap structure and secondary topsheet provides for the efficient formation of a reservoir and a plurality of fluid dams each capable of capturing a quantity of fluid to minimize the occurrence of fluid leaks from the absorbent article. Methods of forming such absorbent articles are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9772979
Abstract: Features are disclosed for determining a sequence of content, including but not limited to web pages, that a user of a client device is likely to request or otherwise find interesting based on previous content requests (of that user and/or other users), and to making the sequence of content available for viewing on the client device. The identified pattern may later be used as a basis to prefetch the content, and to make the sequence of prefetched content available on the client device as a “suggested browsing session.” The suggested browsing session may include a sequence of content pages typically requested by the user, and/or may include linked pages and recommendations that the user is otherwise likely to find interesting.

  • Publication number: 20170224548
Abstract: A disposable absorbent article has a central body defining a first waist end region including a first end edge, a second waist end region spaced longitudinally from the first waist end region and including a second end edge, and a crotch region positioned therebetween. An absorbent core is situated between the end edges, and includes a plurality of elastics incorporated therewith such that the core is substantially laterally contracted in a narrowed region about the elastics. The absorbent core includes at least one end region that is substantially non-elasticized and has a lateral width substantially wider than that of the narrowed region.

  • Patent number: 9614900
Abstract: A multi-process browser architecture is provided that splits the browser process and the renderer processes. The browser process may run on a user device and the renderer processes may run on a renderer server accessible by the user device. The browser process running on the user device can direct the renderer server to generate a new renderer process each time a user elects to open a new browser window or tab. The renderer process running on the renderer server can determine what content resources are needed to render a page and request the resources. Once the content resources are obtained, the appropriate renderer process can begin generating a layout of the page. The renderer process may transmit the layout to the browser process such that the page can be displayed on the user device.

  • Patent number: 9578137
Abstract: Systems and methods can optimize or attempt to optimize portions of scripts that might be overlooked by traditional compilers. These systems and methods can include a code analysis module that develops an aggregate execution profile for a script by aggregating individual execution profiles of a plurality of users. These systems and methods can use the aggregate execution profile to emphasize aspects of the script that can be optimized for a plurality of users, enabling improved script performance for users.

  • Patent number: 9258335
Abstract: A connection-aggregation proxy service disclosed in various embodiments receives connection requests from a plurality of local initiating services, where the connection requests are not targeted at the connection-aggregation proxy service. The connection-aggregation proxy service establishes connections with the local initiating services, receives packets over those connections, and transmits the packets across the same connection when the packets are for the same external target. A local connection-aggregation proxy service in one example executes on the same physical computing device as the local initiating services. A gateway connection-aggregation proxy service in another example resides at a network edge between the local initiating services and the external target that the network local initiating services are requesting.

  • Publication number: 20150216737
Abstract: A method of making an elastic composite is described that entails conveying a first sheet of material on a conveyor, and wrapping a section of elastic about the first sheet and the conveyor, thereby applying elastics cross directionally across the first sheets. A second sheet of material is applied onto the first sheet having elastics applied thereon, thereby creating a subcomposite including the first sheet, the second sheet, and elastics sandwiched therebetween, wherein a plurality of elastics extend outward from the one side of the subcomposite, about the conveyor, and return into an opposite side of the subcomposite.
