  • Patent number: 7316518
Abstract: A closure for cable connection capable of being readily assembled with fastening force of a sufficient level, rapidly accomplishing leading-out of a cable from a cable connection section and storage of the cable, and exhibiting enhanced airtightness while exhibiting increased reliability. The closure includes sleeve members and end plates. The end plates are each provided with slits which extend from cable guide holes to an outer surface of the end plate. Each cable guide hole is provided thereon with a thin-wall cap and the slit is detachably fitted therein with a rigidity holding member. An adhesive tape-like gasket is interposed between an outer periphery of the end plate and an inner surface of a sleeve so as to cover an outer end portion of the slit.

  • Patent number: 6021246
Abstract: A closure for a cable connection capable of facilitating access to fiber connection sections, ensuring simplified management, assembling and disassembling, and exhibiting increased sealing and resealing characteristics. A base member is formed at a portion of an outer surface thereof positioned around each of cable insertion holes with a cylindrical pocket, in which a cable bush made of a rubber-like elastic material and formed with a through-hole communicating with a respective one of the cable insertion holes is fittedly arranged. A cable seal cap which has a raised surface for abutting against the cable bush is releasably fitted in the cylindrical pocket to bring the cable bush into elastic contact with a cable.

  • Patent number: 5850499
Abstract: A closure for cable connection capable of positively maintaining fastening between joint edges of a sleeve, exhibiting increased safety and airtightness, and substantially improving workability in assembling thereof. A sleeve is formed so as to be split into two parts in an axial direction thereof. The two parts of the sleeve are connected on one side thereof to each other by means of hinge sections and formed on the other side thereof with joint edges. One of the joint edges is mounted thereon with fasteners each provided with a holding hole and the other joint edge is provided with holding projections each releasably engaged with a corresponding one of the holding holes. Each fastener and the sleeve are provided with a holding hole and an additional holding projection for locking the fastener to the sleeve in a manner to be opposite to each other, respectively.
