  • Patent number: 7434984
Abstract: To provide a timepiece having a bezel which is easy to set in position, and which is not inadvertently rotatable after it has been set in position. A bezel is rotatably mounted on the bezel mounting portion of a case band. A click member is held vertically movably in the stepped hole of the case band and is urged toward the engaging portion of the bezel composed of a plurality of serrations. An operating member which has a depression having an oblique push-up surface and a closing surface contiguous to its push-up surface is held movably in a accommodating portion formed in the case band and crossing the lower end of the stepped hole at right angles thereto. The operating member is urged to its position in which its closing surface closes the lower end of the stepped hole. A stopper member capable of entering and leaving the depression along its push-up surface is positioned between the click member and the operating member.

  • Patent number: 7387434
Abstract: There is provided portable apparatus capable of maintaining a function of preventing accidental operation of a push button when the apparatus is carried on the wearer's body. The apparatus includes a watch enclosure body (apparatus enclosure body), a pipe, a push button, a biasing member, a locking member, and a whirl-stop. The pipe is fixed to the enclosure body by inserting it into a through hole in the enclosure body. A retainer tube of the pipe has a female thread formed thereon and is disposed outside the enclosure body. The push button has a shaft passed through the pipe, a detent for preventing the push button from being pulled out of the pipe, and a manipulator head disposed outside the enclosure body. The biasing member biases the push button outward with respect to the enclosure body. The locking member has an inner wall with a male thread and a stopper projection that comes into contact with and moves away from the head, and an outer wall that fits on the tube.

  • Patent number: 7380979
Abstract: A wristwatch has a watch case having two outwardly extending projections between which is inserted an end portion of a watch band. Two pins are disposed in the end portion and slideable outwardly to engage in holes provided in the projections to detachably connect the watch band to the watch case. A cam body is disposed within a cavity in the end portion and has an elliptic cam face so that when the cam body is turned to a first position, the cam face slides the pins outwardly to engage in the holes in the projections and when the cam body is turned 90 degrees to a second position, spring members urge the projections inwardly out of engagement with the holes in the projections.

  • Patent number: 7329042
Abstract: There is provided a watch in which a crown and associated parts, excluding a winding stem pipe, can be replaced when the screw locking function is impaired. The watch includes a case band having a pipe attachment hole, a winding stem pipe, a ring gasket made of elastic resin material, a ring, and a crown. The winding stem pipe is inserted into the pipe attachment hole and fixed to the case band in a liquid tight manner. Outer grooves are formed on the outer cylindrical surface of an off-case band projection of the winding stem pipe that is disposed outside the case band. The removable gasket is fitted on and in close contact with the outer cylindrical surface of the off-case band projection such that the outer grooves prevent the rotation of the gasket. The ring has a male screw formed on the outer cylindrical surface thereof and inner grooves formed on the inner cylindrical surface thereof. The ring is removably fitted on the outer cylindrical surface of the gasket.

  • Publication number: 20060261106
Abstract: To provide a wristwatch in which a band can be easily attached to and detached from a case band without using an exclusive tool, it is possible to ensure a sufficient attachment strength of the band with respect to the case band, moreover an injury following upon an attachment/detachment operation of the band can be suppressed, and whose use feeling is good. Bow feet each of which has an attachment hole are protrusively provided in a case band, and a bow crotch receiving an end piece of a band capable of being attached to and detached from the case band so as to be capable of being put in and taken out is formed between the bow feet. A cam body having a cam part in which an elliptic cam face has been formed is rotatably accommodated in the end piece, and an operation groove of the cam body is exposed. One pair of attachment axles are accommodated in the end piece while nipping the cam part so as to be movable in a width direction of the end piece.
