  • Patent number: 11529722
Abstract: A fluid connector, including a tubular member, a connector body, including an exterior opening groove, and a retainer clip to lock the tubular member to the connector body, an assurance cap including one or more latch fingers engaged with the exterior opening groove, and a tool, including an annular collar mountable over the tubular member, and a plurality of fingers carried on and extending axially from the annular collar, the plurality of fingers operatively arranged to engage the latch fingers when the collar and the plurality of fingers are engaged with the assurance cap to disengage the latch fingers from the exterior opening groove to disconnect the assurance cap from the connector body.

  • Publication number: 20170114935
Abstract: A disconnect tool for disconnecting an assurance cap mounted over a tubular member of a fluid connector assembly in a connector body to which the tubular member is locked by a retainer clip carried on the connector body. The disconnect tool includes an annular collar. A plurality of axial fingers extend from the collar and engage primary latch fingers of the assurance cap where end projections of the primary latch fingers are locked in a exterior groove on the connector body. Insertion of the disconnect tool through the assurance cap urges the ends of the fingers into engagement with the primary latch fingers of the assurance cap bending the primary fingers radially outward to separate the projections of the primary latch fingers from the groove on the connector body enabling the assurance cap to be separated from the connector body.

  • Publication number: 20060082145
Abstract: A fluid quick connector for joining first and second members has a housing with a through bore extending from a first end. A retainer is movable through the bore in the housing. A lock element is carried in the housing and moved by a projection on the retainer from a first position allowing passage of a tubular member therethrough into the housing to an angled, second position with respect to the tubular member in which one or more surfaces of the lock element engage and lock the tubular member in the housing resisting axial separation of the tubular member from the housing. The lock element may be a planar disk having a central aperture.
