  • Publication number: 20230137173
Abstract: An electric Vehicle (EV) includes a frame extending rearwards from the front portion of the EV towards a rear portion of the EV. A floorboard structure is disposed below the frame and is supported by the frame. A battery is disposed in a cavity defined between the floorboard structure and the frame. A first heat-generating component is disposed in the rear portion of the EV. The EV includes a duct extending from the front portion to the first heat-generating component to conduct air from the front portion to the first heat-generating component. A second heat-generating component is disposed in the cavity. The duct includes: an inlet facing the front portion to receive air from the front portion; a first outlet facing the first heat-generating component to supply air to the first heat-generating component; and a second outlet facing the second heat-generating component to supply air to the second heat-generating component.

  • Publication number: 20210406559
Abstract: Examples disclosed herein may involve a computing system configured to (i) maintain a map that is representative of a real-world environment, the map including a plurality of layers that are each encoded with a different type of map data, (ii) obtain sensor data indicative of a given area of the real-world environment, (iii) based on an evaluation of the obtained sensor data and map data corresponding to the given area, detect that a change has occurred in the given area, (iv) based on the collected sensor data, derive information about the detected change including at least a type of the change and a location of the change, (v) based on the derived information about the detected change, determine that one or more layers of the map is impacted by the detected change, and (vi) effect an update to the one or more layers of the map based on the derived information about the change.

  • Patent number: 8306608
Abstract: There is provided a high-spatial-resolution dynamic diagnostic instrument which can provide simultaneous measurements of laser-induced frequency-domain infrared photothermal radiometric and alternating-current (ac) modulated luminescence signals from defects, demineralization, remineralization and caries in teeth intraorally. The emphasis is on the abilities of this instrument to approach important problems such as the detection, diagnosis and ongoing monitoring of carious lesions and or defects on the occlusal pits and fissures, smooth surfaces and interproximal areas between teeth which normally go undetected by x-ray radiographs or visual examination. The instrument is also able to detect early areas of demineralized tooth and or areas of remineralized tooth as well as defects along the margins of restorations. This capability of inspecting a local spot can be extended to a modulated imaging of sub-surface of target tooth by using a multi-array infrared camera.

  • Publication number: 20080065732
Abstract: A referral instant messenger link is provided on the webpage of the host website. By clicking the link, a user interface opens up that requests for authentication. Multiple instant messenger accounts of a plurality of instant messenger vendors are displayed within the user interface. The reader can choose a contact and send the universal resource locator address of the website that is currently viewed by a single click provided within the user interface. This facility eliminates the need of the reader leaving the host website in order to pursue instant messaging to send the link to his contacts. This also enables the webmaster of the host website to insert advertising material as appropriate. The web page reader does not have to download and install any new software on his or her computer for accessing the referral instant messenger (RIM).

  • Publication number: 20080040436
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method and system of providing an instant messenger on a toolbar over an internet web browser. The system allows the user to access a list of instant messenger contacts in a buddy list bar upon successful authentication. The system displays multiple instant messenger accounts of a plurality of instant messenger vendors. The system provides a facility within the user interface to choose a contact, and initiate instant messaging by inputting text messages in a text box provided within the browser toolbar itself, thereby eliminating the need for a user to shift through applications, or tabs, or windows. The system also allows for the viewing the conversation between selected contacts using a conversation box integrated within the toolbar.

  • Publication number: 20050021645
Abstract: A universal presence indication and messaging system enables integrating the presence of a user into all platforms enables the user of this technology on a wired or wireless network to configure, manage and broadcast his presence to a defined or undefined set of other users on a wired or wireless network. The recipients of a presence file or image can then interact with the user through text, voice or other medium without the need for any additional software aside from standard web browser or e-mail software. The system is also independent of the operating environment of the user and the receiver of the presence indication, and independent of the need for any proprietary messaging system. This Universal Presence Indication is also fully manageable by the user.
