  • Publication number: 20250150389
Abstract: In some implementations, a first access gateway function (AGF) may receive, from a second AGF, a communication indicating at least one of a subscriber identity, session information, subscriber context, or session transport information associated with an active session between the second AGF and a client device. The first AGF device may detect that the second AGF device is associated with a failure. The first AGF device may transmit, to a first core network device, a request to switch a first path associated with the active session from the second AGF device to the first AGF device, wherein the request indicates at least one of the subscriber identity, the session information, the subscriber context, or the session transport information. The first AGF device may forward one or more data communications between a second core network device and the DHCP client device associated with the active session via a second path.

  • Patent number: 12273318
Abstract: In some implementations, a broadband network gateway (BNG) may receive, from a customer premises equipment, a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) discover request, wherein the BNG is connected to the customer premises equipment and a fixed mobile interworking function (FMIF). The BNG may communicate with, based on the DHCP discover request, the FMIF. The BNG may provide to the customer premises equipment, and based on communicating with the FMIF, a DHCP offer that offers utilization of the BNG as a DHCP server. The BNG may receive from the customer premises equipment, and based on providing the DHCP offer, a DHCP request to request utilization of the BNG as the DHCP server. The BNG may provide to the customer premises equipment, and based on the DHCP request, a DHCP acknowledgment that acknowledges utilization of the BNG as the DHCP server.

  • Patent number: 12111855
Abstract: A computer-implemented method, in accordance with one embodiment, includes collecting data from a plurality of predefined functional areas in a particular geographical area in which a plurality of physical objects are located, at least some of the data relating to vandalism. Wrangling is performed on the data to correlate the data from the functional areas with respective ones of the physical objects. The wrangled data corresponding to each of the physical objects is transformed into features corresponding to a the functional areas. For each of the physical objects, the features are processed according to predefined rules for generating a rank for each of the functional areas. Dynamic weights are computed for at least some of the features to account for data drift by comparing historical data with latest data. The ranks and dynamic weights are transformed into a vandalism score for each of the physical objects, which is output.

  • Publication number: 20240323177
Abstract: A network device may receive, from endpoint devices, login requests for a server device and may establish logins with the server device based on the login requests. The network device may generate a discover message with a bulk release message indicating that the network device is capable of bulk release and including an identifier of the network device. The network device may include the address of the network device in the bulk release message based on the address of the network device not being shared across interfaces of the network device or may include a group identifier for the endpoint devices in the bulk release message based on the address of the network device being shared across the interfaces. The network device may provide the bulk release message to the server device based on determining that a restart of components of the network device is to occur.

  • Publication number: 20240291796
Abstract: A dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) relay device identifies, based on configuration information, a client device for which the DHCP relay device is to reserve an IP address. The DHCP relay device obtains, based on identifying the client device, the IP address. The DHCP relay device causes, based on the configuration information and after obtaining the IP address, the IP address to be renewed. The DHCP relay device determines, after obtaining the IP address, that the DHCP relay device is to provide the IP address to the client device, and communicates, after determining that the DHCP relay device is to provide the IP address to the client device, with the client device to provide the IP address to the client device.

  • Patent number: 8676878
Abstract: A method of managing a domain, a method of extending a domain, and a method of selecting a reference point controller are provided. The method of operating the domain includes: receiving a request for authenticating a reference point controller from a reference point controller candidate; invalidating a membership of the stored reference point controller; generating a unique reference point controller membership for verifying that the reference point controller candidate is a new reference point controller; and transmitting the generated reference point controller membership to the reference point controller candidate. Accordingly, even when an error occurs in the reference point controller, the function of the reference point controller can be rapidly replaced by using the reference point controller candidate.
