  • Patent number: 10105129
Abstract: The draining device 1 is provided with a main body 11 including two side wall members 111 each having a tip end section 111B curved downward, and a connecting portion 12 connecting the side wall members 111. In a manner such that at least upper portions of adjacent side wall members 111 are spaced at a certain distance d and side surfaces 111a of the adjacent side wall members 111 face each other, by connecting the side wall members 111 of the main body 11 with the connecting portion 12, a liquid draining passage R for draining a liquid to a space between adjacent side wall members 111. For this reason, since the liquid inflow cross-sectional area S1 and the passage cross-sectional area S2 increase, it becomes possible to introduce a large amount of liquid into the gap between the side wall members and pass therethrough.

  • Publication number: 20150142108
Abstract: The accommodative intraocular lens 1 include an optical section 10 of a lens, and a lens supporting section 20 provided at the peripheral portion of the optical section 10. The lens supporting section 20 includes one end portion 201 connected to the peripheral portion of the optical section 10 via the connecting portion 50 in a movable manner, and the other end portion 202 to be engaged with the equator Se of the lens capsule S. The one end portion 201 and the other end portion 202 are positioned on opposite sides with respect to the center O of the optical section 10, and are formed in a manner as to extend on radially outward side in a loop shape surrounding the periphery of the optical section 10 from one end portion 201 to the other end portion 202.

  • Patent number: 8821166
Abstract: An object is to provide an artificial lens for use in an artificial eye device for cataract surgery practice. The artificial lens includes an artificial nucleus corresponding to a human eye lens nucleus and an artificial cortex corresponding to a human eye lens cortex. The artificial nucleus is formed of an agar gel of agar concentration 1.0 wt % to 5.0 wt %. The artificial cortex is formed of an agar gel of agar concentration 0.5 wt % to 1.5 wt % which is lower than the agar concentration of an agar gel forming the artificial nucleus. In another embodiment, an artificial lens includes an artificial nucleus corresponding to a human eye lens nucleus and an artificial cortex corresponding to a human eye lens cortex. The artificial nucleus is formed of cheese or a cheese-like substance, and the artificial cortex is formed of pulp fiber.
