  • Patent number: 6856312
Abstract: In order to generate three-dimensional form data having characteristic lines desired by a user from original three-dimensional form data, a closed surface consisting of longitudes and meridians is arranged so as to inscribe a three-dimensional form model, and the longitudes and the meridians are projected to a surface of the three-dimensional form to generate parametric curves running along the surface. Then, control points of the parametric curves are moved to adjust the curves so that a part of the parametric curves in correspondence to the movement of the control point moves along the surface of the form model. The curves adjusted are taken as three-dimensional form data of the form model.

  • Publication number: 20020072411
Abstract: A control section shows a target measurement value, such as the height of Mt. Fuji or the diameter of a 10-yen coin, to the player by displaying it on a liquid crystal display. The player rotates a rotary operation member to advance a displayed character up to the target measurement value. Since the rotary operation member has a certain circumferential length, the control section multiplies the circumferential length by the number of rotations of the rotary operation member to obtain the distance covered by the character. At the end of the game, the difference of the calculated distance from the target measurement value is shown to the player. Thus the entertaining game for testing the player's sense of distance can be realized even in a low performance device.
