Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing card-based interfaces for enumerable datasets may include (1) identifying computing resources within a computing environment subject to a unified administration, (2) identifying a request to display the computing resources within a graphical user interface, (3) portraying each computing resource within the graphical user interface as a card that includes (i) a button interface element on a front face of the card that, when invoked, presents a radial menu of actions to perform on the computing resource, (ii) a summary description of the computing resource on the front face of the card, (iii) a flipping interface element that, when invoked, flips the card between the front face of the card and a back face of the card, and (iv) a detailed description of the computing resource on the back face of the card. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

Abstract: A system, method, and medium for automatically identifying, protecting, and recovering the critical services and components of a server. A backup application detects a request to perform a backup operation. In response, the backup application performs a discovery process to identify the critical services and components of a server. The backup application includes a user interface to display the critical services and components to an administrator. The critical services and components are then backed up to a backup storage device. The collection of critical services and components can then be recovered to a target server when a recovery operation is needed.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for simultaneous comparison of multiple backup sets maintained in a computer system are described. A plurality of backup sets of data maintained in a computer system including a hierarchy of objects is managed. In some examples, a graphical user interface (GUI) is displayed on a display coupled to the computer, the GUI having views configured show a first group of backup sets from the plurality of backup sets. Individual objects of a selected backup set in the first group of backup sets are pinned in a pinned view of the views in response to a first command. A second group of backup sets from the plurality of backup sets is shown in the views in response to a second command by sliding individual objects of at least one backup set in the plurality of backup sets across at least one unpinned view of the views with respect to the individual objects of the selected backup set in the pinned view.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for simplifying data restoration using resource types. The method may include (1) receiving a request from a user to perform a data restoration operation, (2) providing a graphical user interface that presents to the user a plurality of resource types that can be restored by the user, (3) receiving, from the user via the graphical user interface, a selection that identifies a resource type that the user desires to restore, (4) presenting, to the user via the graphical user interface, at least one backup set associated with the identified resource type from which the user may restore data, (5) receiving, from the user via the graphical user interface, a selection that identifies a backup set that the user desires to restore, and (6) restoring data from the identified backup set.
