The device further comprises a mounting component for attaching the device to the wearable article such as a baseball cap or a helmet. A user may extend the pair of ear engaging components out of or away from the housing for use, and retract the pair of ear engaging components back toward or into the housing when no longer needed. When not in use, the device remains attached to the wearable article so that it is convenient to access when needed.
