    Abstract: A method and system for hierarchical license servers is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method comprises receiving license requests from a plurality of clients. The license requests are serviced using a plurality of mini servers, each mini server serving licenses to a client of the plurality of clients in response to a license request of the license requests. A primary license server provides the licenses to the plurality of mini servers.
