  • Patent number: 8314617
Abstract: A method is disclosed for at least partly determining and/or adapting an attenuation map used for attenuation correction of Positron Emission Tomography image data sets in a combined Magnetic Resonance-Positron Emission Tomography device. In at least one embodiment of the method, at least one one-dimensional magnetic resonance data set of a patient is recorded along one imaging direction; the boundaries of at least one part of the body of the patient intersected by the imaging direction are determined from the one-dimensional magnetic resonance data set; and the attenuation map is determined and/or adapted at least partly as a function of the boundaries determined.

  • Publication number: 20120268118
Abstract: MR image data relating to a volume section of an examination object is determined. Image data relating to this volume section is also captured by way of a true-to-original tomographic method. The MR image data is compared with the image data. Depending on the results of this comparison, either the MR image data is corrected such that the MR image data matches the image data as closely as possible, or parameters that are used during the capture of the MR image data are modified such that, when the MR image data of the predefined volume section is captured again using the modified parameters, the newly captured MR image data matches the image data as closely as possible.

  • Patent number: 8144951
Abstract: A method for data evaluation of first and second measured data records acquired substantially simultaneously with the aid of a combined medical examination device suitable for simultaneous and isocentric acquisition of first measured data, includes reconstructing a first image data record from the measured data of the at least one first measured data record, reconstructing a second image data record from the measured data of the at least one second measured data record, fusing the image data records as a function of registering the coordinate systems of the first measured data record and of the second measured data record to form a fusion image data record, and displaying and/or storing the fusion image data record.

  • Publication number: 20110082361
Abstract: A method is disclosed for controlling an imaging examination system for examination of a patient. In at least one embodiment, the imaging examination system includes a first imaging examination device with a first isocenter and a second imaging examination device with a second isocenter. The examination system further includes an examination table which can be positioned in respect of the isocenters.

  • Patent number: 7859261
Abstract: In a method and an apparatus for automatic determination of objects that attenuate high energy/penetrating radiation by magnetic resonance, the magnetic resonance apparatus scans and prepares MR images, and the MR images contain information about the T2 relaxation time constant. Subsequently, penetrating radiation-attenuating objects are determined in the MR images by means of the T2 relaxation time constant.

  • Publication number: 20080298664
Abstract: A method is disclosed for data evaluation of first and second measured data records acquired substantially simultaneously with the aid of a combined medical examination device suitable for simultaneous and isocentric acquisition of first measured data, specifically magnetic resonance or computed tomography measured data, and second nuclear medicine measured data, specifically PET measured data or SPECT measured data. In at least one embodiment, the method includes reconstructing a first image data record from the measured data of the at least one first measured data record, reconstructing a second image data record from the measured data of the at least one second measured data record, fusing the image data records as a function of registering the coordinate systems of the first measured data record and of the second measured data record to form a fusion image data record, and displaying and/or storing the fusion image data record.
