  • Publication number: 20120069458
Abstract: A rotation assist assembly is an assembly for assisting the rotation of a rotary adjustment member included in a lens barrel, and includes a base portion and a grip portion. The base portion is configured to be wound around the rotary adjustment member along a rotation direction of the rotary adjustment member. The grip portion is coupled to the base portion in the rotation direction, and a user's finger is placed on this grip portion when rotating the rotary adjustment member. A first maximum dimension from a rotational center of the rotary adjustment member to an outer face of the grip portion in a radial direction of the rotary adjustment member is greater than a second maximum dimension from the rotational center to a radial outer face of the base portion.

  • Patent number: 7844983
Abstract: A power transmission member is provided with which it is possible to lessen the impact force produced when the head of a disk device hits part of a base member or the like. The power transmission member is a power transmission member of a mechanism for moving a head, used for recording on or reproducing from a disk, relative to a base member in a disk device, comprising a fixed component for attaching to a head, a power transmission component for receiving drive from a motor serving as a drive source, a linking component for linking the fixed component and the power transmission component, and a contacting component. The contacting component is fixed to the power transmission component, and comes into contact with part of the base member, or part of a member fixed to the base member, at least one end of the movement range of the head.

  • Patent number: 6940686
Abstract: A porous impregnation material (14) impregnated with a gaseous-phase lubricant that vaporizes at an atmosphere temperature within an outer case (2) is disposed in the inside of the outer case (2) that incorporates a tape mechanism (1) having a magnetic head such as a rotary video head (5). This allows the magnetic head to be in a state of being protected by a coating film of the gaseous-phase lubricant, thereby eliminating the adhesion of foreign substances other than the gaseous-phase lubricant to the magnetic head. As a result, decrease in the reading precision of magnetic data to be caused by the foreign substances can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 6799891
Abstract: According to the present invention, a cylindrical side wall is provided in a housing so as to surround an outer periphery of a stopper member. Further, an end surface of the side wall is higher than a top surface of outermost periphery of the stopper member. Oil otherwise scattered is received by the side wall for collection. Oil is thus prevented from scattering even if during manufacturing, the amount of oil dripped between the shaft and the oil-impregnated bearing is not strictly controlled, so that a slightly excessive amount of oil is dripped. Therefore, the present motor device enables manufacturing operations to be favorably performed, and is reliable having a long lifetime.
