  • Publication number: 20220151070
Abstract: An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first electrical element, a second electrical element, and a rigid flexible printed circuit board electrically connecting the first electrical element and the second electrical element, wherein the rigid flexible printed circuit board includes at least one flexible portion including a first dielectric which has a first dielectric constant and is flexible, at least one rigid portion which extends from the flexible portion and includes a second dielectric which has a second dielectric constant and is less flexible than the first dielectric, a plurality of conductive patterns formed inside the first dielectric and the second dielectric, a plurality of conductive layers formed on the first dielectric and the second dielectric, and a plurality of conductive vias which are formed in the rigid portion and electrically connect the plurality of conductive layers or the plurality of conductive patterns.

  • Patent number: 7775833
Abstract: The high speed intelligent cable provided herein is multifunctional, lightweight, flexible and re-configurable. The cable assembly includes a low profile ribbon cable of multiple conductors. Built-in health indicators provide user assessment of, for example, connectivity. Active electronics and embedded intelligent firmware provide various functions, to include built-in test performance capability. Ready cable reconfiguration for system integration, or for other needs, is facilitated by logic and switching circuitry. Still further, built-in automatic multi-functional cable testing may include automatic reconfiguration. Testing and reconfiguration can be remotely activated. The cable described herein can reduce time and manhours needed for testing, installation, and maintenance. The lightweight multi-functional cable makes a positive contribution to the function/mass payload ratio in complex and mass-sensitive applications.

  • Patent number: 6675536
Abstract: The apparatus is used for closing and securing a door in its frame. A movable wedge is supported in a slot in the frame. A closing mechanism is employed for closing the door and a second mechanism is employed for moving the wedge into a slot formed in the edge of the door when the door is closed. A shape memory wire is used in conjunction with the closing mechanism for allowing the closing mechanism to close the door. A second shape memory wire is used in conjunction with the second mechanism for allowing the second mechanism to move the wedge from the frame slot into the door slot when the door is closed for securing the door to the frame.
