Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for optimizing a data route in a mobile communication system. A method of setting an internet protocol (IP) session in a mobile communication system, by a Mobile Station (MS) includes querying and obtaining an IP address of a corresponding node corresponding to a predetermined application and an IP address of a corresponding gateway corresponding to the corresponding node. The method also includes accessing the corresponding gateway based on the IP address of the corresponding gateway. The method further includes receiving a corresponding gateway allocation IP address from the corresponding gateway and forming a tunnel between the MS and the corresponding gateway. The method includes setting an IP session between the MS and the corresponding node based on the IP address of the corresponding node and the corresponding gateway allocation IP address.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A subscriber server supporting subscription of an electronic device in a communication system is provided. The subscriber server includes a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a signal, and a controller configured to receive a first subscription connection request message of the electronic device from a terminal, the first subscription connection request message including subscription terminal information of the terminal and identification information of the electronic device, authenticate a user of the terminal on a basis of the subscription terminal information included in the received first subscription connection request message, and transmit a second subscription connection request message of the electronic device to a support server if the user authentication has succeeded.

Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for transmitting configuration information by a local administrator and the local administrator transmitting the configuration information, the method comprising the steps of: receiving an internet protocol pool (IP pool) allocated by an IP address management server of an external IP network; receiving an IP address allocation request from a new base station in the distribution network; and, in response to the received IP address allocation request, allocating the base station a certain IP address on the basis of the allocated IP pool. In addition, the embodiment of the present invention provides a base station for receiving configuration information from the local administrator and a self-configuration method for the base station.

Abstract: A Mobility Management Entity (MME), a local server, an MME-local server interface, and a data transmission method are provided. The communication method of an MME supporting inter-gateway handover of a terminal includes acquiring, when a handover from a source gateway to a target gateway is detected during an ongoing data communication of the terminal, information on a session between the terminal and a server and transmitting, when the server is a local server present in a mobile communication core network, a tunnel setup command to the local server through an interface established with the local server, the tunnel setup command instructing to establish a tunnel between the local server and the target gateway for data communication from the local server to the target gateway.

Abstract: A terminal and application synchronization method is provided for simultaneously updating multiple applications. The application synchronization method includes acquiring a synchronization timing of a previously registered synchronization target application or a common synchronization timing of previously registered synchronization target applications, when an application to be synchronized is added; and adjusting the synchronization timing of the added application in consideration of the previous synchronization timing or the common synchronization timing.
