Abstract: Charging system and method using a motor driving system are proposed. The charging system includes a battery, an inverter to which D.C. power stored in the battery is applied, including a plurality of legs each including two switching elements, a motor including a plurality of coils of which first ends are respectively connected to connection nodes of the switching elements of each of the plurality of legs, and second ends are connected to each other to form a neutral point, and an inverter driving part configured to control switching of the switching elements, so that switching speeds of the switching elements are different for each mode of a motor driving mode and a charging mode so as to change magnitude of charging voltage supplied to the neutral point of the motor and to output the charging voltage to the battery.

Abstract: There is provided an apparatus and method for controlling mode switching in a terminal. A switch unit outputs a signal for mode switching of the terminal in response to a touch operation of a stylus pen, and a controller switches a mode of the terminal in response to the signal output from the switch unit.

Abstract: Disclosed is an urgent message transmission system. In the system, when a disaster warning message is received from a network provider, an originating terminal transmits the received disaster warning message to a preset urgent message recipient according to a user's request. Further, a terminating terminal having received an urgent message from the originating terminal transmits the received urgent message to a preset urgent message recipient according to a user's request. Accordingly, when an urgent message is received from a provider or a specific user, it is possible to quickly transfer the contents of the received urgent message to other users without recreating a separate urgent message.

Abstract: Provided are a terminal and method for distinguishing between email recipients using a specific identifier. According to the inventive terminal and method, when email is desired to be sent to several recipients, it is possible to set an individual transmission configuration for each recipient and transmit the email in different formats depending on the recipients. Thus, a large-sized file is prevented from being unnecessarily created or transferred, thereby reducing unnecessary traffic. In addition, it is possible to prevent the storage space of a mobile device from being wasted due to receiving an unwanted attachment file.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method of a mobile communication terminal for accessing a portal site are provided, which include reading out an International Mobile Subscriber Identity (IMSI) from a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card, coding the read IMSI, and generating an ID using the coded IMSI, and provide easy, fast and safe access to the portal site and extended range of Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) portal marketing.

Abstract: A compressor and an oil separating device therefor are provided which are capable of always maintaining a predetermined amount of oil in the compressor without additionally providing an oil separating device along a refrigerating cycle system. This results in the refrigerating cycle system having simplified piping and the refrigerant discharged from the compressor having a constant pressure, thereby preventing a function of the refrigerating cycle system from being reduced. The compressor includes a casing, a compression device having a compression chamber disposed within the casing and configured to receive, compress, and output a refrigerant, and an oil separating device disposed within the casing.

Abstract: A scroll compressor and a refrigerating machine including the scroll compressor are provided. An oil supply channel may be formed in a fixed scroll of the compressor so as to provide for communication between a back pressure chamber and compression chambers formed between the fixed scroll and an orbiting scroll. The oil supply channel enables oil to be smoothly introduced from the back pressure chamber into each compression chamber, so that frictional losses and refrigerant leakage in the compression chambers may be effectively prevented, and efficiency of the compressor and the refrigerating machine including the compressor may be enhanced.

The search apparatus includes a database for storing records having n searchable fields, a display unit for displaying one or more input boxes according to the number of input characters, a key input unit for inputting a character or a command to erase an already input character, and a controller for controlling the number and states of input boxes to be displayed through the display unit, and for generating a query to retrieve desired records from the database. As a result, n separate input boxes, are displayed according to the number of input characters. Effective search results can be produced with a reduced number of input characters.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for batch-processing of commands through recognition of a panel input pattern in a mobile communication terminal is disclosed. The method includes defining a gesture mapping at least one existing pattern to a command. Upon detecting a pattern input, analyzing the pattern and determining whether the pattern already exists. If it is determined that the pattern already exists, a command corresponding to the pattern is processed in a batch.

Abstract: A multi-destination transmission method for transmitting a short message to a plurality of mobile terminals at the receiving end is provided. According to the method, a plurality of telephone numbers corresponding to a plurality of mobile terminals at the receiving end is registered in a group. Then, if a request for multi-transmission of the short message is selected after inputting the short message, the short message is simultaneously transmitted to a plurality of the telephone numbers registered in the selected group at the receiving end.
