  • Patent number: 6424242
Abstract: Insulating walls 14 and 15 are arranged between fixed contacts 21a and 23a that face a movable contactor 51b while being able to come in and out of contact with it and a shield plate 24 positioned on the back surface side of the fixed contacts 21a and 23a. With this arrangement, a compact high-frequency use switch having the desired high-frequency characteristic can be obtained with high productivity.

  • Patent number: 5880653
Abstract: A manufacturing method for an electromagnetic relay whereby a base block 20 is monolithically molded to terminals 21-24 and connector tabs 62 provided in a lead frame 60. After separating the terminals 21-24 from the lead frame 60 and bending the terminals, a permanent magnet 30 and armature block 40 are assembled into the base block 20. A case 50 is then pressed down over the base block 20 to separate the base block 20 from the connector tabs 62 of the lead frame 60. Electrical inspection and aging treatment can thus be accomplished with the base block 20 connected to the lead frame 60, improving assembly precision and productivity.

  • Patent number: 5473297
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay having movable contactors which extend along either side of a movable armature. The movable armature and the movable contactors are formed integrally with the central support member by outsert molding. Movable contact terminals, which extend from the movable contactors, are molded to the base sections. Connecting pieces, which are located on the bases of the movable contact terminals, are bent to form a rotating shaft. The front ends of the base sections protrude toward each other to form the base. The movable contacts on the movable contactors are positioned so that they alternately contact and draw away from the fixed contacts on the base.

  • Patent number: 5070315
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay, comprising: an electromagnetic coil; an iron core passed centrally through the electromagnetic core; a yoke having a first end connected to a first end of the iron core; and an L-shaped armature, having a short piece and a long piece connected to each other via a corner portion, pivotally supported by a second end of the yoke at its corner portion so that the short piece may move toward a second end of the iron core by magnetic attraction when the electromagnetic coil is energized and move away from the second end of the iron core by a spring force of spring means when the electromagnetic coil is de-energized. The second end of the yoke may be provided with a part having a locally enlarged cross section to reduce the magnetic resistance at the interface between the armature and the yoke. The short piece of the armature may be provided with a projection near the corner portion which slides along a fixed surface in order to keep the armature resting upon the yoke in a stable fashion.

  • Patent number: 5017898
Abstract: An electromagnetic relay comprises a force transmitting member for displacing a movable contact point member as an armature moves, to come in contact with a fixed contact point member. A pressing portion of the force transmitting member which is in contact with the movable contact point member is formed of a shape memory material restoring a previously memorized shape at or above a predetermined temperature. The fixed contact point and the movable contact point are abraded resulted from the long-term use of the electromagnetic relay, thereby reducing contact pressure between the two contact points and correspondingly increasing contact resistance, so that the contact points overheats.
