  • Patent number: 7525278
Abstract: An upper limit value setting unit of a control device conducts integration on the change in battery power, and determines whether the integrated value is lower than a preset first threshold value (negative value). When determination is made that the integrated value is lower than the first threshold value, and the battery power difference is lower than the second threshold value (negative value), the upper limit value setting unit sets Vup2 that is lower than the general Vup1 as the upper limit value of the inverter input voltage command.

  • Patent number: 7450355
Abstract: A current detector (60) samples a motor current (MCRT_A) from a controlling sensor and a motor current (MCRT_B) from a monitoring sensor, and holds respective motor current maximum values (MCRT_Amax, MCRT_Bmax) at each prescribed operation cycle. An abnormality determiner (62a) detects that the motor current maximum value (MCRT_Amax) is in GND short-circuiting range and that the current difference between the maximum values exceeds a prescribed threshold value at each of successive operation cycles, to thereby determine an abnormality of the controlling sensor. Then, the abnormality determiner (62a) generates a detect signal (DET) specifying the current sensor abnormality and outputs it to a relay driver (64) and an alarm (66). Relay driver (64) receives the detect signal (DET) and generates a signal (SE) to turn off a system relay. The alarm (66) generates a signal (AL) and outputs it to display means arranged outside a power supply apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7372686
Abstract: A current detection unit samples motor current at every cycle corresponding to a cycle of the highest processing speed of a CPU. A current integral calculation unit integrates the value of the sampled motor current over a sampling period to calculate and output a current integral to an abnormality determination unit. The abnormality determination unit determines whether the current integral is larger than a threshold. When the abnormality determination unit determines that the current integral is larger than the threshold, it generates a detection signal indicating an abnormality in the motor current and outputs the signal to a relay drive unit and a notification unit. The relay drive unit receives the detection signal to generate a signal for turning off a system relay. The notification unit receives the detection signal to generate and output a signal to display means provided outside a power supply apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7355826
Abstract: A current detection unit starts sampling of a motor current at the timing when the motor current has exceeded a threshold value, and holds a maximum motor current value for each prescribed operation cycle. An abnormality determination unit determines whether the maximum motor current value is greater than the threshold value, and counts the number of times that the maximum motor current value continuously exceeds the threshold value. When the count value has reached at least 3, the abnormality determination unit generates and outputs a detection signal indicating abnormality in the motor current to a relay drive unit and a notification unit. The relay drive unit in receipt of the detection signal generates a signal to turn off the system relays. The notification unit generates and outputs a signal AL to display means outside the power supply apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7276865
Abstract: A power output apparatus includes two motor generators, a DC power supply, a relay, three inverters and a control CPU. One of the motor generators includes three-phase coils. The DC power supply is connected via the relay between respective neutral points of the three-phase coils. When the sum of respective powers of the motor generators is zero, the control CPU generates a signal SE at L level for rendering the relay OFF to output the generated signal to the relay, and generates signals PWMC1, PWMC2 and PWMI3 for driving the other motor generator by electric power generated by the one motor generator to output the generated signals to the inverters respectively.

  • Patent number: 7259530
Abstract: A control CPU generates, in response to a signal STON from a start key, a signal SE at H level and outputs the generated signal to a relay to render system relays ON. Accordingly, a DC power supply is connected between respective neutral points of three-phase coils. When a terminal-to-terminal voltage of a capacitor that is detected by a voltage sensor becomes equal to or higher than a voltage of the DC power supply that is detected by a voltage sensor, the control CPU generates a signal PWMPC1 or PWMPC2 and outputs the generated signal to an inverter. The inverter increases the output voltage of the DC power supply according to the signal PWMPC1 or PWMPC2 to precharge the capacitor to a predetermined voltage or higher.

  • Patent number: 6550290
Abstract: A drum type washing machine includes a drum for accommodating laundry and a variable speed electric motor for rotating the drum. A rise time is detected when the drum or the motor is accelerated from a first predetermined rotational speed to a second predetermined rotational speed while a predetermined constant power is being supplied to the motor. A fall time is detected when the drum or the motor is decelerated from a third predetermined rotational speed to a fourth predetermined rotational speed while the motor is in a free running state. A weight of the laundry in the drum is detected on the basis of the detected rise and fall times. A balance of the laundry in the drum is detected. The detected weight is compensated according to a result of balance detection.
