  • Patent number: 8882528
Abstract: A lock arm (10) is provided on the upper surface of a female housing (1) and can pivot about hinge pieces (15). Further, an unlock arm (11) for releasing a locked state by the lock arm (10) is provided on the upper surface to pivot in the same direction with supporting legs (20) as a pivot point. A housing-side preventing portion (27) extends in forward and backward directions through a clearance between the supporting legs (20). Arm-side preventing portions (25) project at corresponding positions of the unlock arm (11) while extending in forward and backward directions. The arm-side preventing portions (25) and the housing-side preventing portion (27) contact each other at positions forward or rearward of the supporting legs (20) when the unlock arm (11) is pivoted in either direction, thereby preventing excessive deformation of the unlock arm (11) in both directions.

  • Patent number: 7275313
Abstract: An unlocking jig (40) is fit on a female housing (10) from below. As a result, a guide groove (43A) on a bottom portion (43) of the unlocking jig (40) engages a convexity (22C) on a lower surface of the female housing (10) and a guide groove (43B) on an arm (45) engages a convexity (22B) on a side surface of the female housing (10). The unlocking jig (40) has unlocking claws (a1, a2) that engage short locking pieces (38B, 38C) when the unlocking jig (40) is moved and unlock the short locking pieces (38B, 38C) from locks (22B, 22C) on the housing (10).

  • Patent number: 7160134
Abstract: A lock (35) is provided at the leading end of a resiliently deformable lock arm (33) on a female housing (20) and engages an engaging portion (14) on a male housing (10). An unlocking arm (40) is provided separate from the lock arm (33) and is resiliently inclinable like a seesaw. Projecting pieces (48) are formed on opposite surfaces of the lock (35) and unlocking pieces (49) on the unlocking arm (40) face the backsides of the projecting pieces (48). An operable portion (44) of the unlocking arm (40) is pressed to incline the unlocking arm (40) so that the unlocking pieces (49) lift the lock (35) of the lock arm (33), thereby canceling a locked state.

  • Patent number: 7114983
Abstract: A female housing (20) has a resiliently deformable lock arm (38), whereas a male housing (10) is provided with an interlocking portion (13). During the connection of the two housings (10, 20), the lock arm (38) is temporarily deformed while being held in sliding contact with the interlocking portion (13). When the two housings (10, 20) are properly connected, the lock arm (38) is restored resiliently to engage the interlocking portion (13). A front surface (14) of the interlocking portion (13) to face the lock arm (38) during a connecting process is arcuate. Thus, only a widthwise middle (14a) of the interlocking portion (13) slides in contact with the lock arm (38) during a connecting operation.

  • Patent number: 7104831
Abstract: A male housing (10) includes male terminal fittings (11), and a receptacle (12) for surrounding tabs (11a) of the male terminal fittings (11). A female housing (20) includes female terminal fittings (21) and a tubular fitting (29) fittable on the receptacle (12). Since preventing projections (32A, 32B, 32C) for preventing relative displacements of the receptacle (12) and the tubular fitting (29) by contacting the outer surface of the receptacle (12) are provided at the back end of the inner surface of the tubular fitting (29), an abrasion between the terminal fittings (11, 21) due to fine sliding movements resulting from the relative displacements of the two housings (10, 20) can be prevented.

  • Patent number: 7104841
Abstract: A watertight connector has a housing (10) with terminal fittings (11) therein. A busbar element (14) is mounted on the front of the housing (10) to short the terminal fittings (11). The busbar element (14) engages engageable portions (22; 23) formed by a mold removing space (24) in the housing (10). A rubber plug (12) and a plug holder (13) are assembled with the housing (10) by engaging locks (25) on the plug holder (13) with the housing (10). The locks (25) are inserted into the mold removing spaces (24). The locks (25) and the engageable portions (22, 23) overlap in width and/or height directions to miniaturize the watertight connector.

  • Patent number: 7059872
Abstract: A housing (20) has a terminal-holding part (22) for holding terminal fittings (21). Two sidewalls (24) extend rearward from the terminal-holding part (22), and substrate-fixing parts (25) project out from outer surfaces of the sidewalls (24). Screws (N) are used to fix the substrate-fixing parts (25) to a substrate (10). An alignment plate (40) is mounted between the sidewalls (24) and has opening-preventing walls (43) locked to the sidewalls (24) to prevent the side walls (24) from being elastically opened as the screws (N) are tightened.

  • Patent number: 6953358
Abstract: A female housing (10) has cavities (11) for receiving female terminal fittings (30). A lock (13) is provided in each cavity (11) and is deformed by insertion of the female terminal fitting (30). However the lock (13) is restored resiliently to engage and lock the female terminal fitting (30) in the cavity (11). Maneuverable recesses (24) are provided on the front surface of each lock (13) retracted from the locked terminal fitting (30). A disengagement jig (60) can be engaged with the maneuverable recesses (24) to deflect the lock (13) so that the terminal fitting (30) can be removed from the cavity (11).

  • Patent number: 6910905
Abstract: On a front end surface of a male housing, a columnar sealing projection is formed for a projected portion of each of the male terminals. A sealing member having through-holes formed thereon is formed integrally with a rear surface of a front plate of a holder. When the holder is mounted on a female housing, a contact surface of the sealing member is pressed against the front end surface of the female housing. When the female housing is connected to the male housing, the inner peripheral surfaces of the through-holes of the sealing member closely contact the peripheral surfaces of the sealing projections with the sealing projections breaking the lips of the sealing member.
