  • Publication number: 20210299732
Abstract: To provide a rod member feeding device that reduces the load on a spindle chuck and a finger chuck when a rod member is positioned, as well as providing a machine tool provided with the rod member feeding device, and a control method for the rod member feeding device. A rod member feeding device includes: a feed rod for supplying a rod member to a spindle; a servomotor for moving the feed rod along the axial direction of the spindle; and a control device (exemplified with a motor control device and a control device) for controlling the driving of the servomotor. The control device calculates a deviation between a command position based on an advance amount of the feed rod and the actual position of the feed rod that has been actually advanced by the driving of the servomotor, and controls the driving of the servomotor based on the magnitude of the deviation.

  • Patent number: 8803481
Abstract: A battery pack for an electrically powered tool includes: one or plural secondary batteries connected in series and/or in parallel; a current detection resistor in a current path through which a charge/discharge current flows into each secondary battery; an N-channel charge control FET and an N-channel discharge control FET in the current path so as to control the charge/discharge current; and a controller detecting the charge/discharge current flowing in the current detection resistor and controlling the charge and discharge control FETs based on the detection result. A threshold value indicating an overcurrent detection current with respect to the charge/discharge current is set in advance, and the controller compares the charge/discharge current detected by the current detection resistor with the threshold value, and when the detected charge/discharge current is the threshold value or more, determines that an overcurrent state is detected and turns off the charge and discharge control FETs.

  • Patent number: 8712670
Abstract: When a driving region of an engine is in a specified self-ignited combustion region, a valve timing is controlled in such a manner as to establish a negative valve overlap period in which an exhaust valve and an intake valve are closed. During the negative valve overlap period, a direct injection is performed to reform a fuel. After the direct injection, a port injection is performed to control an output. Thereby, a self-ignited combustion control is performed. During the self-ignited combustion control, a fuel reform degree of the fuel injected by the direct fuel injection is detected, and a self-ignited combustion condition in a present combustion cycle is estimated based on the fuel reform degree detected in the present combustion cycle. A fuel injection quantity of the intake port fuel injection is corrected according to the estimated self-ignited combustion condition in order to stabilize the self-ignited combustion condition.

  • Patent number: 6642630
Abstract: A multi-output switching power supply circuit easily produces multiple outputs with increased power source conversion efficiency. The circuit includes, in place of the rectifying diode and the commutating diode used in the multi-output switching power supply circuit of the prior art, a circuit configuration in which an NMOS for synchronous rectification is combined with a constant-voltage control by a magnetic amplifier. It is not required to use, for example, a radiator to dissipate heat, and hence the system size is reduced and the conversion efficiency is increased, and the system can be easily implemented in a low-voltage multi-output configuration. In a configuration in which a magnetic amplifier is arranged between a secondary winding and an first NMOS for synchronous rectification and a drive circuit for the first NMOS and an second NMOS for synchronous rectification is implemented as a separate winding other than the secondary winding, the first NMOS is not included in a loop to flow a reset current.

  • Patent number: 5744104
Abstract: An electrically heated catalytic converter having a substrate for a catalyst, a rod-like metal electrode connected to the substrate, and a casing accommodating the substrate. The substrate for the catalyst is formed as a scroll-like cylindrical laminated assembly of thin metal sheets wound around the electrode. The electrode extends from the laminated assembly along the central axis, bends towards the wall of the casing and penetrates the casing. The electrode is fixed to the casing via an insulating material at the point where it penetrates the casing. When the electricity is fed to the electrode, electric current flows through the electrode to the laminated assembly, and to the casing, and heat is generated in the substrate by the electric current and the temperature of the catalyst carried by the substrate quickly reaches the activating temperature. The rod-like electrode of the present invention is formed as a hollow pipe.

  • Patent number: 5672324
Abstract: An electric heater comprises a central electrode and a ring electrode with a honeycomb heat generator disposed therebetween. The honeycomb heat generator is formed by winding a conductive foil strip around the central electrode until the size of the rolled honeycomb body just fits to the ring electrode. The surface of the conductive foil strip is coated by an insulating material, thereby preventing a short circuit between two layers of the conductive foil strip wound around the central electrode. A plurality of bonding parts are provided to electrically connect adjacent layers of the conductive foil strip wound around the central electrode. The bonding parts are disposed along a plurality of bonding lines extending across the layers of the conductive foil strip. The bonding parts are disposed on every other bonding line along each layer of the conductive foil strip.

  • Patent number: 5658536
Abstract: An exhaust gas purifying apparatus includes a carrier of a honeycomb structure which is made of at least one flat metal plate and at least one corrugated metal plate which is superimposed on the flat metal plate. A catalytic layer is formed on the surface of the carrier. The carrier suited for being coated with the catalytic layer is disposed in an exhaust pipe of an internal combustion engine. The carrier is provided, on an axially intermediate portion thereof, with a large number of louvers which causes a haphazard secondary motion in the exhaust gas. A predetermined portion of the carrier including the turbulence producing portion and an additional region located adjacent to said predetermined region is coated with a larger amount of catalyst than that with which the remaining portion of the carrier is coated, whereby good purifying efficiency can be obtained for a long time.
