Abstract: A Multi-Functional Peripheral (MFP) comprising: a registration adjuster for making a registration adjustment by adjusting an image forming position of each color; a detector for detecting an intensity of a vibration; a transmitter for transmitting the image data to another apparatus via a network; and a controller for (i) interrupting an image formation if the intensity of the vibration is judged to be larger than a first threshold, (ii) instructing the transmitter to transmit the image data of the interrupted image formation to the another apparatus if the intensity of the vibration is judged to be larger than a second threshold that is larger than the first threshold, and (iii) after the vibration has ceased, instructing the registration adjuster to make the registration adjustment and then restarting the interrupted image formation.

Abstract: An image formation apparatus detects personal information, (a name, a contact address or the like) from image data obtained by scanning a document. Personal information stored in a database, or DB personal information, associated with an individual specified by the detected personal information, is retrieved. If the detected and retrieved personal information have a difference and the DB personal information is information later than the personal information detected from the image data then the personal information in the image data is modified with the retrieved DB personal information.

Abstract: An induction heating and fixing device includes a hollow cylindrical fixing member, a core for forming a closed magnetic circuit, a ring member formed of magnetic material and provided on the core in the vicinity of the bilateral ends of the fixing member, a coil wound around the core, and a pressure member disposed so as to press against the fixing member. This device suppresses temperature drop at the bilateral ends of the fixing roller and maintains uniform temperature distribution in the axial direction of the fixing roller by leaving the device open at both bilateral ends.

Abstract: When a print job is received from the network, subsequent processing depends on whether the print job includes authentication information. Where the print job includes authentication information, the print job is stored in a memory while being associated with the authentication information. When authentication information is received from the network thereafter, a print controller selects, from among the print jobs stored in the memory, the job that is associated with authentication information that matches the received authentication information, and causes it to be printed.
