  • Patent number: 8355166
Abstract: An image-printing device includes a reading unit, a sample characteristic amount extracting unit, an original characteristic amount extracting unit, an image converting unit, and a printing unit. The reading unit reads a sample image and an original image. The sample image has a sample characteristic amount indicating a characteristic of the sample image. The original image has an original characteristic amount indicating a characteristic of the original image. The sample characteristic amount extracting unit extracts the sample characteristic amount from the sample image. The original characteristic amount extracting unit extracts the original characteristic amount from the original image. The image converting unit converts the original image based on both the sample characteristic amount and the original characteristic amount. The printing unit prints the converted original image.

  • Patent number: 7362475
Abstract: An image forming device for forming images based on a file configured of a first data area for storing raster data and a header for storing vector data. The image forming device includes a raster data image displaying function for forming images on a display screen based on the raster data; and a vector data displaying function for forming images on the display screen based on the vector data. With this construction, the image forming device can easily manipulate both vector data and raster data by combining both types of data in one file. The image forming device can rapidly combine both types of data in one image by using vector data in parts requiring high image quality and raster data in parts requiring high-speed drawing.

  • Publication number: 20070022074
Abstract: An inference information creating device includes a measured value acquiring unit, a measured value acquiring unit, an inputting unit, a user input data acquiring unit, and an inferring unit. The measured value acquiring unit acquires a measured value from at least one sensor. A user inputs data on an inference target with the inputting unit. The user input data acquiring unit acquires user input data that the user inputs via the inputting unit. The inferring unit infers the degree of the inference target. The inferring unit includes an inference data creating unit and an inference information outputting unit. The inference data creating unit creates inference data, based on the measured value acquired by the measured value acquiring unit and the user input data acquired by the user input data acquiring unit. The inference data includes an index value different from the measured value that indicates a degree of the inference target.

  • Patent number: 6906815
Abstract: A RIP(20) calculates total line number of print data when converting original data to the print data. When a printer (30) is requested by the RIP to send a printed line number, the printer (30) detects the physical position of a print head (56) using a sensor (59) calculates a printed line number, and transmits the obtained printed line number to the RIP (20). The RIP (20) notifies a user of progress of print operations based on the total line number and the received printed line number.

  • Patent number: 5161035
Abstract: A digital image processing device for enlarging an original image with high fidelity. To produce digital data representative of an enlarged image based on digital data representative of an original image, 2-by-2 enlarged image data is firstly produced, for example, through computation of approximate surface representative of density distribution of the original image approximate to a surface covering all density values. Based on the 2-by-2 enlarged image data, another approximate surface covering all density values of control points selected from the pixels constituting the 2-by-2 enlarged image. Then, a center portion of the thus obtained approximate surface is enlarged to a desired size and four center portions of such enlarged approximate surface are obtained while selecting the control points on one pixel shifted positions in row and column on the 2-by-2 enlarged data. The thus obtained four center portions are averaged, which gives the image data representative of the enlarged image.
