  • Patent number: 9709184
Abstract: A control valve configured to control a pressure of a passing fluid includes: a valve seat having a seat portion where the fluid passes; a poppet valve inserted into the valve seat to regulate a pressure of the fluid passing through the seat portion; and a fluid rectifying unit provided in the valve seat to rectify the fluid having a pressure regulated by the poppet valve.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 18, 2013
Date of Patent: July 18, 2017
    Assignee: KYB Corporation
    Inventors: Yoshinari Nakamura, Kiyokazu Nagata
  • Patent number: 9606549
Abstract: A poppet valve is provided with a seat portion which has a conical inner peripheral surface with a center axis, and a conical portion which is displaced along the center axis inside the seat portion, forms a flow passage having an annular cross-section between the conical portion and the seat portion and is supported at a position concentric with the seat portion. An effect of rectifying fluid flowing in the flow passage is thereby obtained and the generation of noise is prevented.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 15, 2013
Date of Patent: March 28, 2017
Assignees: KYB Corporation, TOKYO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Inventors: Yoshinari Nakamura, Kiyokazu Nagata, Toshiharu Kagawa, Chongho Youn

  • Patent number: 8870152
Abstract: A working fluid flow rate flowing from a second port (13) to a first port (12) is controlled using a solenoid (S). A pilot pin (60) of a pilot valve (V3) driven by the solenoid (S) regulates an auxiliary pilot pressure. An opening of an auxiliary valve (V2) is varied according to the auxiliary pilot pressure, whereby the auxiliary valve (V2) causes working oil to flow out to the first port (12) from the second port (13) and varies a main pilot pressure according to the working oil flow rate. An opening of a main valve (V1) is varied according to the main pilot pressure, whereby the main valve (V1) causes the working oil to flow out to the first port (12) from the second port (13). Precise flow control at a low flow rate and responsive flow control at a high flow rate are thereby realized.

  • Patent number: 6675823
Abstract: A gap 11 between a flange 4A of a bail support member 4 and the inner circumferential surface of a sleeve member 7 functions as an orifice for restricting an oil flow downstream of a seat hole (6B). The movement of the ball support member 4 is stabilized, pressure is generated in a chamber 9 downstream of a seat hole 6B, and the override characteristics of the relief valve 1 are improved.
