  • Patent number: 7975955
Abstract: A continuous sheet processing apparatus has a frame, a roll body accommodating portion disposed inside of the frame for accommodating a roll body formed of a wound continuous sheet, and a cover mounted for undergoing pivotal movement between open and closed positions relative to the frame so as to allow the insertion of the wound continuous sheet into the roll body accommodating portion in the open position of the cover. A processing portion has a processing head and a platen roller confronting the processing head. The processing head performs a processing operation with respect to the continuous sheet drawn out from the roll body accommodating portion in a state in which the cover is in the closed position. The platen roller transports the continuous sheet in a state in which the cover is in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 7802750
Abstract: A rolled sheet support mechanism has two spaced-apart guide plates for accommodating therebetween a rolled sheet. A displacement member carries a pair of opposed, axially slidable bobbins and pivots between an attachment position wherein the rolled sheet can be inserted between and held by the bobbins and an accommodation position wherein the rolled sheet is ready for use. A pair of biasing members compressed between the guide plates and bobbins elastically press the bobbins to the rolled sheet. The spacing between the guide plates is larger in the region of the attachment position than in the region of the accommodation position so that when the displacement member pivots from the attachment position to the accommodation position, the biasing members slide along the guide plates and further compress to increase the force at which the bobbins press against the rolled sheet.

  • Publication number: 20080179444
Abstract: In a continuous sheet processing apparatus including a processing portion (3) above and on a lateral side (right side in the drawing) of a roll body accommodating portion (2), when a cover (8) is in an open state, a guide plate (11) is in an outside of a frame (17). When the cover (8) starts to be closed, protruding portions (14a) abut on cams (17a) and link arms (14) start pivoting about a shaft (16), thereby allowing arms (12) connected to the link arms (14) to pivot about a shaft (13). As a result, the guide plate (11) and the arms (12) move before the cover (8) to enter a space between a roll body (1a) and a continuous sheet (1). When the cover (8) is closed, an engagement portion (11a) of the guide plate (11) engages with the continuous sheet (1), and is positioned while being biased to an opposite side (left side in the drawing) of the processing portion (3) with respect to a position directly above a central axis of the roll body (1a).

  • Publication number: 20080173750
Abstract: A processing portion (3) is arranged in a position above and on a lateral side (right side in the drawing) of a roll body accommodating portion (2), and an engagement portion (11a) of a guide plate (11), which is positioned between the roll body accommodating portion (2) and the processing portion (3), engaging with a continuous sheet (1) is positioned while being biased to an opposite side (left side in the drawing) of the processing portion (3) with respect to a position directly above a central axis of a roll body (1a), or preferably to an opposite side (left side in the drawing) of the processing portion (3) with respect to an outermost end of the roll body (1a).

  • Publication number: 20080135674
Abstract: In order to improve mountability of a rolled sheet while preventing falling off of the rolled sheet, which makes a replacement operation easier, provided is a rolled sheet support mechanism (4) including: a pair of guide plates (20) opposed to side surfaces of a rolled sheet (P); a pair of support members (21) having, at ends thereof, insertion portions to be partially inserted into opening portions of a core tube (2) which are exposed to the side surfaces of the rolled sheet; a displacement member (22) displaced between an attachment position (S1) and an accommodation position (S2) while supporting the support members movably in a direction of an axis L of the core tube, with the support members being moved along the guide plates when receiving an external force; and a biasing member (23) for biasing the support member with an elastic force and pressing the insertion portion to the core tube in a state where the insertion portion is partially inserted into the opening portion to allow the rolled sheet to be

  • Patent number: 5903298
Abstract: A line thermal printer comprises a frame, a platen supported by the frame for rotation, and a thermal head supported by the frame for pivotal movement into and out of pressure contact with the platen for recording printing data to a recording medium disposed between the thermal head and the platen. A leaf spring is disposed between the thermal head and the platen for resiliently pressing the thermal head into pressure contact with the platen. A pressing plate has a rotation shaft supported by the frame for pivotal movement for applying pressure to the leaf spring to resiliently press the thermal head into pressure contact with the platen. A head-up lever is integrally connected to an end of the rotation shaft of the pressing plate for pivoting the pressing plate to release the pressure applied to the leaf spring to release the thermal head from pressure contact with the platen.
