  • Patent number: 7231179
Abstract: A mobile phone has a controller which on detection of an incoming call, selects one of plural local wireless communication devices, registered in a memory which ranks high in the priority order, and which then controls a local wireless communication unit to transmit a connection request to the selected local wireless communication device while starting a timer. When the local wireless communication unit receives a connection response from the selected local wireless communication device, the controller performs connection processing to establish the local wireless connection to transmit an incoming call notification signal. On receipt of an incoming call response signal from the local wireless communication device, the controller controls a RF unit to establish a line connection to enable a talk state or a state of data communication. On detection of disconnect of the line connection, the controller disconnects connection of the local wireless communication.

  • Publication number: 20060088166
Abstract: To easily and simply perform authentication and delivery of secret information between devices which perform a short-range wireless communication. When a device including a short-range wireless communication unit 20, a barcode creating unit 16, a barcode reading unit 17, and a barcode analyzing unit 18 is connected to a device including a short-range wireless communication unit 40, a barcode creating unit 36, a barcode reading unit 37, and a barcode analyzing unit 38 for performing the short-range wireless communication, interaction is performed in such a manner that security information such as an authentication key and an encryption key is converted into a barcode, for recognition by other party. Authentication of the other party is performed through the interaction using this barcode, and the encryption key to be used for the subsequent short-range wireless communication is also delivered.

  • Publication number: 20010016507
Abstract: A portable telephone with an originator acknowledge function includes an originator confirmation button, response button, response mode controller, display, channel controller, message sending unit, and monitor. The response mode controller controls the response mode to an originator confirmation mode in which only reception is possible when the originator confirmation button is operated, and controls the response mode to a normal response mode in which both transmission and reception are possible when the response button is operated. The channel controller activates the response mode controller and connects a channel in the originator confirmation mode. The message sending unit sends a first message prompting a response of an originator to the channel when the channel is connected in the originator confirmation mode. The monitor outputs a speech signal of the originator from the channel to a recipient via a receiver after the first message is sent.
