  • Patent number: 5639415
Abstract: A method of forming a hollow article, wherein all the operations such as shifting and opening/closing of a die are performed by electric actuators such as electric motors which operate in accordance with a program operation, thus improving the quality of the hollow article as the product. A parison extruded from an extruder is introduced into and held in a die which has been opened by the operation of a die compacting motor. A crosshead associated with the extruder is lifted to draw the parison, and a parison cutting motor operates to cut the drawn parison. Thus, fully automatic production is realized to ensure high yield of the product.

  • Patent number: 5338173
Abstract: A parison controller of blow molding apparatus for varying the thickness of a parison extruded from an ejection orifice by displacing in an up and down direction a core provided at the ejection orifice of the die of a cross head. The parison controller of blow molding apparatus has a motor through which the core is displaced. It further includes: a rod connected to the core provided at the cross head; a female threaded portion formed on the upper portion of the rod; a rotating rod having a male threaded portion threaded into said female threaded portion; a reduction gear connected to said rotating rod through a thrust bearing; and the motor connected to the reduction gear. Since the core forming the ejection orifice for ejecting the parison is displaced through a motor, a reduction in the size thereof and saving of resources may be achieved and a high quality parison may be obtained as compared with a conventional parison controller which uses a hydraulic system.

  • Patent number: 5151872
Abstract: Method and apparatus for correcting the output of an onboard vehicle terrestrial magnetism sensor. An azimuth computation reference circle is obtained from the terrestrial magnetism sensor output, the circle in turn being used to correct the sensor output. When the reference circle is dislodged, the least square method is used to fine a true azimuth computation reference circle.

  • Patent number: 5122170
Abstract: An apparatus for preventing clouding of a mirror-finished semiconductor wafer in a semiconductor wafer treating zone by controlling an internal atmosphere in the semiconductor wafer treating zone. The apparatus has an air conditioner for introducing the air from an external environment into the semiconductor wafer treating zone, and a removing device disposed in the air conditioner or between the air conditioner and the external environment for removing at least part of the sulfur oxides out of the sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides in the air introduced from the external environment. The air introduced through the air conditioner and the cleaning device forms an atmosphere including a sulfur oxide concentration of 60 ng/l or less in the semiconductor wafer treating zone.
