  • Patent number: 4868433
Abstract: A small sized electric motor of a sectionally non-circular housing has a pair of magnets oppositely positioned therein in the lengthwise direction thereof and a rotor positioned between the magnets. A pair of fulcrums oppositely located on the housing in the length-wise direction thereof diametrically across the rotor, and a pair of elongated brushes, each has one end part secured to each of the fulcrums and the other end part elastically pressed against the commutator of the rotor at a point thereof to determine the electric displacement point with the angle 120.degree. displaced with respect to the magnetic line of force caused by the magnets. A winding is wound around the core structure of the rotor and has the initial ends and the wound ends each connected to a predetermined number of connector terminals of the commutator with the angle 120.degree. displaced with respect to the commutator.

  • Patent number: 4794293
Abstract: A direct current electric motor is described, which substantially comprises a permanent magnet having a plurality of N-magnetic poles and a plurality of S-magnetic poles, the N and S-magnetic poles being alternately arranged adjacent to each other, each defining a magnetic range of its own; phase coil means including a first phase coil and a second phase coil, each being composed of a plurality of groups of conductors, the conductors being extended substantially in parallel with each other, the first and second coils being displaced by a half range of a single magnetic pole of the permanent magnet, such that each group of conductors of the first phase coil and each group of conductors of the second phase coil may be alternately disposed adjacent to each other, one being disposed in one half of the magnetic range and the other being disposed in the other half thereof; and magnetism detector means including a first magnetism detector and a second magnetism detector, the first magnetism detector being connected

  • Patent number: 4684839
Abstract: The invention relates to an electric motor having armature means including a plurality of armature segments each rendered into a flat form and arranged in a same plane around a center rotation axis in a manner as to form a circular outline; magnet means including a plurality of permanent magnet segments arranged in a same plane opposite to the armature segments coaxially on one side thereof with an air gap being provided therebetween, each of the permanent magnet segments having end portions in the radial direction defined by a geometrical line dividing the permanent magnet segments one from another, the dividing line being designed to extend in avoidance to be in parallel with a normal extended from the center rotation axis of the armature segments, said dividing line of each permanent magnet segment extending in parallel with another dividing line of the adjacent magnet segment to provide therebetween a groove of a predetermined width.
