The electrical connection structure includes a swage part configured to sandwich a first electric conductor and a sheet member having a second electric conductor, and an elastic member provided between the first electric conductor and the sheet member in a sandwiching portion of the swage part, the elastic member being configured to connect between the first electric conductor and the sheet member. The first electric conductor and the second electric conductor are electrically connected to each other via a contact point provided in the first electric conductor and a contact point provided in the second electric conductor in the sandwiching portion.

    Abstract: There are provided a connector having excellent transmission characteristics, and a method for manufacturing such a connector, by which a connector can be manufactured more easily than in the conventional techniques, and thus its manufacturing cost can be reduced. A conductor base member including central terminal portions to form signal terminals, a grounded conductor portion to form a grounded conductor, connecting portions for connecting between the central terminal portions and the grounded conductor portion so as to integrate them together is integrally formed with an electrically conductive material. Then, the conductor base member is integrally fixed to the housing, and the connecting portions are cut to configure the central terminal portions as the central terminals and configure the grounded conductor portion as the grounded conductor, thereby obtaining a plug.

The plug includes a first plug pin being brought into contact with the first contact, a second plug pin being brought into contact with the second contact, and an insulating projection being inserted between at least one of the first and second contacts and the normally closed terminal to insulate between the at least one of the first and second contacts and the normally closed terminal.

When the connector is mated with the mating connector, the retainer members are attracted to a magnet that the mating connector has so as to hold the mating state. The housing is formed from a bendable insulating rubber, and the plurality of retainer members are spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction (the X direction) parallel to a front surface of the housing.
