  • Patent number: 11317775
Abstract: A dust-collecting device includes a cylindrical casing and an insertion part. The casing includes an introduction port introducing dust-containing air. The insertion part is positioned inside the casing to allow a swirling flow of the dust-containing air to be formed between the insertion part and the casing. The insertion part includes a cylindrical side surface part spaced away from and facing the casing and a projection part. The projection part includes, in a side of the first dust-collecting part, a projection surface projecting outward from the side surface part. The projection surface includes plural straightening parts and a connection part. The straightening parts are formed spirally toward the side of the first dust-collecting part, from upstream to downstream sides of the swirling flow. The connection part connects a downstream end side of one of the straightening parts and an upstream end side of another one of the straightening parts.

  • Patent number: 7496988
Abstract: A dust separation section is provided at a suction air passage between a suction opening of a vacuum cleaner main body and an intake opening of a motor fan to separate dust sucked from the suction opening with air and a dust collection section provided at the suction air passage for collecting the dust separated from the air from the dust separation section. Moreover, the dust separation section of the electric vacuum cleaner has a dust guiding space adapted to inflow the dust sucked from the suction opening from one end of the dust guiding space and for guiding the dust from an other end of the dust guiding space to the dust collection section, through a dust strike section, by an inertia force, and an air guiding air passage is provided to guide air from a midstream of the dust guiding space to the intake opening of the motor fan without passing through the dust collection section.

  • Publication number: 20080235901
Abstract: In a suctioning state, even if the amount of dust trapped in a dust collecting unit in a main air passage is increased, air suctioned from a hose connection port is branched into a first half passage and reduction in the suction air amount can be suppressed. When the suctioning state is switched to a dust moving state by switch means, the dust trapped in a pleated filter is moved to the dust collecting unit, increase in the air passage resistance at the first half passage side caused by clogging of the pleated filter can be suppressed, and reduction in suction power over time can be suppressed. Since an upper air passage and lower air passage are provided in the lid body, the dust collecting unit is exposed with the lid body opened, whereby maintenance performance of the dust collecting unit is improved.

  • Patent number: 7337492
Abstract: In an electric vacuum cleaner having an intake air opening 18 disposed in a front portion of a main body case 17, a dust collection case 19 which communicates with the intake air opening 18, and a motor fan 20 provided in a back portion of the main body case, and an intake air passage 23, 24, 25 from the dust collection case 19 to the motor fan 20 being formed, a noise blocking member 14d having a specific gravity larger than a material composing the main body case 17 and an area wider than a project area of an intake vent 20a is disposed in the intake air passage 25 facing to the intake vent 20a of the motor fan 20.

  • Patent number: 7198656
Abstract: There is disclosed a vacuum cleaner including a dust separation section which separates air and dust flowing toward an intake port of a motor blower through a connection port of a cleaner main body. The dust separation section includes an air path forming member which performs a separation function. The forming member includes an introductory port, a derivative port, and an opening disposed between these. In the separation function, while dust-containing air flows toward the derivative port from the introductory port, a part of the air is sucked by the motor blower through the opening. Accordingly, the air is separated from the dust which goes straight in the air path forming member with inertia.
