    Abstract: In a method and apparatus for controlling an air-conditioning apparatus of a type driving a compressor motor from a DC power source through an inverter, the present current value of a DC input to the inverter is detected, and, when the detected current value is larger than a current limit value, the rotation speed of the compressor motor is decreased by a predetermined value. The current limit is controlled so that it changes linearly relative to the rotation speed of the compressor motor.
