  • Publication number: 20070215308
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a vertical casting apparatus capable of easily manufacturing castings without causing shrinkage cavities and entrainment of gas, by filling a molten metal into a mold cavity at a high speed and by effectively pressurizing the molten metal in the closed cavity, which has high work efficiency, ease of maintenance, and a low cost of equipment, and a vertical casting method using the vertical casting apparatus. The vertical casting apparatus is provided with an apparatus body comprising a fixed mold 1 on the lower side and a movable mold 2 on the upper side, a closing means 13 for closing a molten metal in-flow gate 10 formed in the fixed mold 1, and a pressurizing means 20 for pressurizing the molten metal in the closed mold cavity, and a casting means for supplying and filling the molten metal into the mold cavity from the underside. The casting means has a gas-pressurized molten metal pouring ladle 6 attachable to and detachable from the apparatus body.

  • Patent number: 6115853
Abstract: When a cleaning button for cleaning the toilet bowl is operated, by a manner as pressing, a switching valve 41 switches the flushing water supply destination to a position for cleaning the bowl part. The flushing water is then jetted out of a spout nozzle 35 disposed inside a Z water conduit 161 as a jet flow. The jet flow from the spout nozzle 35 causes water inside the Z water conduit 161 and water inside the flushing water reservoir 104 to flow through the Z water conduit 161 and to be spouted toward an inlet 121 of a waste trap 102, like a jet flow spouted by a jet pump. This supplies a heavy flow of flushing water amplified in the volume into the waste trap 102 all at once to flush out the filth in the bowl part 101.

  • Patent number: 5839497
Abstract: An interior cooling inner plunger is caused to project from an outer plunger after casting. Alternatively, during casting, while it projects from the outer plunger, the inner plunger is inserted into a frustoconical gate. Subsequently, a pressure pin is moved downward from a movable mold side to a portion near a gate portion. When a melt solidifies, a casting sleeve and a casting plunger are moved downward, and a pressure pin is further moved downward to cut apart a biscuit from a mold product. An excellent product is produced and the cycle time is shortened by a good melt pushing operation.

  • Patent number: 4980933
Abstract: A washing device for parts of human body comprises a thermostatic mixing valve which is disposed at a junction of a cold water supply passage and a heated water supply passage, a latching solenoid valve which is mounted on a heated water drainage passage branched out from said heated water supply passage and a latching solenoid valve which is mounted on a mixed hot water supply passage. Due to such construction, electric power for heating water is no longer necessary in the toilet bowl and electric power for mixing heated water and cold water to produce mixed hot water to be ejected from an ejecting nozzle also becomes unnecessary. Furthermore, electric power for operating the solenoid valve is minimized by means of a latching solenoid. Accordingly, the overall consumption of electric power necessary for operating and controlling the washing device can be minimized thus enabling the use of a small dry cell or battery as an electric power source of the washing device.

  • Patent number: 4879074
Abstract: A method of coating on a melt contact surface such as that of an injection sleeve for casting, a plunger end face or a mold cavity comprises a step of charging the soot and the melt contact surface with opposite electrical polarities to thereby cause an electrodeposition of the charged soot on the melt contact surface. A preferred apparatus for the soot coating comprises means for producing an air stream surrounding a combustion gas stream including the soot and forming an air curtain for preventing the sprayed soot from scattering.

  • Patent number: 4842038
Abstract: In an injection method of a die casting machine of the invention, an inner portion of a billet, excluding peripheral and bottom portions thereof, is melted in advance. The billet with the molten inner portion is supplied into an injection sleeve. The injection sleeve is then externally heated to melt the entire portion of the billet. The molten metal is injected into a die cavity.

  • Patent number: 4830289
Abstract: A centrifugal fluidized grinding apparatus having balls as a grinding medium therein, comprises a parting vessel having a vertical axis, composed of inner and outer vessel parts both forming a circumferential groove. The circumferential groove has a continuous and smooth surface and provides a completely open inner space allowing the grinding medium and starting material to move freely through any part of the entire area of the inner space without encountering any obstacles. The groove has a generally ovoid profile with an upper part thereof cut away in a vertically cross-sectional view taken along a plane including the axis. The ovoid has a longitudinal axis intersecting the vertical axis at a position over the parting vessel. The inner and outer vessel parts are mounted for relative rotation about the vertical axis, in such a manner that the inner vessel part is rotated while the outer vessel part is stationary, or the latter is rotated in a reverse direction.

  • Patent number: 4779667
Abstract: A degassing apparatus for a metal mold comprises a valve body and a bypass. The valve body is slidably provided between an end of a vent groove communicating with a metal mold cavity and a valve opening/closing portion before an exhaust hole. When a molten metal flowing from the cavity acts on a surface of the valve body, the valve body moves toward the exhaust hole and blocks a path toward the exhaust hole. The bypass bypasses a valve head of the valve body from the vent groove and guides gas to the exhaust hole. The valve head of the valve body has a substantially head-cutting conical outer shape projecting in the direction of the vent groove. The vent groove has a gas vent path extending from a top portion to the vicinity of the base of the valve head along an outer surface of the valve head. An end portion of the gas vent path corresponding to the base of the valve head communicates with a start portion of the bypass which bypasses the valve head.
