  • Publication number: 20020187379
Abstract: A fuel cell separator which has a metal substrate and offers a high corrosion resistance and conductivity is provided. The separator has a metal layer on the surface of the substrate made of stainless steel, and a conductive layer on top of the metal layer. The conductive layer is made up of conductive particles which are fusion-bonded to each other and exhibit excellent conductivity. The separator also has a highly corrosion-resisting oxide layer which covers exposed parts of the metal layer, the parts where the metal layer is not covered with the conductive particles. This enables the fuel cell separator to assume high conductivity at an interface between the metal layer and the conductive particles, and high corrosion resistance at the exposed parts of the surface of the metal layer.

  • Publication number: 20020054401
Abstract: A scanner system having an image scanner and a control device for controlling the image scanner. The control device has a scanner driver installed thereinto. The operator can carry out entering for setting a reading size and a direction of an original on the operation screen of the scanner driver. The control device designates a reading area of the original based on the inputs of the reading size and the direction of the original and outputs a scanning execution instruction to the image scanner.

  • Publication number: 20020024685
Abstract: A push type scanner apparatus according to the present invention can transmit image data read by the push type scanner apparatus through a network to a desired personal computer only by operating the push type scanner apparatus without transmitting any operation command from the personal computer. In the push type scanner apparatus, for transmitting image data, a destination address is specified; a mail to be transmitted to the specified destination address is created; an appended file comprising the image data read by the scanner apparatus and appended to the mail is created; and the created mail and appended file are outputted to the network.

  • Patent number: 5541015
Abstract: A fuel cell comprising a stack including a stack including a plurality of cell units and a plurality of gas separators and at least one cooling plate, one of the gas separator and the cooling plate being interposed between adjacent cell units, the fuel cell being characterized in that; each gas separator and the cooling plate, respectively, have oxidant gas channels on one of surfaces that opposes to have contact with one of electrode surfaces of the cell unit to as to flow an oxidant gas in a direction vertical to a direction of a cooling air flowing through the cooling plate; each gas separator and the cooling plate, respectively, have fuel gas channels, a fuel-gas-supply inner manifold for taking in a fuel gas, and a fuel-gas-exhaust inner manifold for releasing the fuel gas having passed through the fuel gas channels on the other surface that opposes to have contact with the other electrode surface of the cell unit so as to flow the fuel gas in a direction parallel to the direction of the cooling air flow

  • Patent number: 4538226
Abstract: In a data processing system, an apparatus for controlling the delivery of write data from a processing unit with a buffer device to a main store. The delivery of data from the buffer device to the main store is delayed until a counter detects a predetermined value. Where data are to be written into a same address of the main store, a write request is applied to the main store by merging successive write operations on the same address into a single write operation.
