  • Patent number: 6529268
Abstract: A surface geometry measuring apparatus which relies upon triangulation to measure the distance to an object from a sensor head comprising projection optics and observation optics, wherein the projection optics has a drive mechanism capable of adjusting the laser beam projecting position or the baseline length, the distance to the object is calculated by measuring the baseline length at the time when the point at which a spot of the laser light projected to the object forms a focused image on the observation plane in the observation optics has come to the center of the observation plane, the surface geometry measuring apparatus has a mechanism for causing the sensor head or observation optics to move or turn from side to side and a mechanism for causing the sensor head to turn up and down such that the moving or turning from side to side and the turning up and down allow the point of measurement on the object to be scanned with the laser beam two-dimensionally to measure the surface geometry of the object.

  • Publication number: 20020135677
Abstract: This invention relates to an image sensing control method and apparatus, and an image transmission control method, apparatus, and system, in which a camera such as a video camera is connected, the operation of the camera is controlled in accordance with a control command sent from a client via a network, and an image signal sensed by the camera is transmitted to the client via the network. Upon reception of a control command of the pan and tilt angles, zoom value, or the like of the camera from the client, the position control of the camera is done in accordance with the command, and transmission of the image signal sensed by the camera is suspended until the instructed operation is complete. Alternatively, upon reception of such control command, the image signal sensed by the camera is compressed at a high compression ratio, and the compressed image signal is transmitted.

  • Patent number: 6044769
Abstract: An in-pipe work device comprising at least two movement mechanisms connected with each other in a longitudinal direction of a pipe by a flexible tube, and a control device for controlling the movement mechanisms, the movement mechanisms including a body connected to the flexible tube, a guide member installed on the body such that the guide member is slidable in an axial direction, a support leg drive mechanism provided on the guide member and having a support leg movable in a radial direction of the pipe, for pressing the support leg against an inner wall of the pipe, thereby to hold the guide member kept unmovable in an axis direction of the pipe, a slide mechanism for relatively sliding the guide member and the body, with the support leg pressed against the inner wall of the pipe, thereby to slide the body in the axis direction of the pipe, wherein the control device controls the in-pipe movement device so as to move in a pipe by itself, by sequentially operating the plurality of movement mechanism in a pr

  • Patent number: 5886417
Abstract: An electric power generating installation has a plurality of generator/motor units, each of which has a motor for converting kinetic energy into turning torque, a generator connected mechanically to the motor and connected electrically to an electric power system for converting turning torque into electric energy. A control system is provided for controlling the motor and the generator in such a way that they can be operated stably and continuously. The control system controls the different generator/motor units in different control modes so as to minimize cross current and resonance or beat phenomena.

  • Patent number: 5880653
Abstract: A manufacturing method for an electromagnetic relay whereby a base block 20 is monolithically molded to terminals 21-24 and connector tabs 62 provided in a lead frame 60. After separating the terminals 21-24 from the lead frame 60 and bending the terminals, a permanent magnet 30 and armature block 40 are assembled into the base block 20. A case 50 is then pressed down over the base block 20 to separate the base block 20 from the connector tabs 62 of the lead frame 60. Electrical inspection and aging treatment can thus be accomplished with the base block 20 connected to the lead frame 60, improving assembly precision and productivity.
