  • Patent number: 6545397
Abstract: A cathode for an electron tube provided with a base containing at least one kind of reducing agent, a metal layer whose main component is tungsten formed on the base, and an electron emission material layer whose main component is an alkaline-earth metal oxide including barium formed thereon, deformation of the base in operation is controlled by composing the metal layer with a porous metal layer and limiting the thickness and the porosity of the metal layer. As a result, it is possible to achieve a cathode for an electron tube applicable to a cathode-ray tube for a display in which the cutoff voltage is liable to change.

  • Patent number: 6297723
Abstract: A low cost high-performance temperature sensor that can be manufactured of a thin-film temperature detecting element with high yield. The temperature sensor has a metal cylinder (10); a ceramic substrate (2) placed in the metal cylinder and a temperature detecting element (3) and film electrodes (94) connected with the output of the temperature detecting element (3); an inorganic filer (95) for absorbing stress to hold the ceramic substrate (2) inside the metal cylinder (1); and a cap (6), provided on one end of the metal cylinder (1), for protecting the temperature detecting element (30) on the ceramic substrate (2). One end of the ceramic substrate is fixed to a first end of a terminal (27) which is U-shaped, and the terminal includes an expansion and contraction absorbing portion (20) between a first and second end.

  • Patent number: 5465348
Abstract: A UPC circuit fault diagnosis system for diagnosing a failure in a UPC circuit controls cell traffic volume on the basis of prescribed information about cell traffic. Failure diagnosis of a UPC circuit is provided by a usage parameter determination of at least one kind of cell, using more than one system and comparing determination results. The diagnosis system has an operating UPC circuit for controlling a total of m kinds of cells, and a standby UPC circuit for controlling a total of n kinds of cells. The system also has a total of q bridge memories for keeping a chronological record of the prescribed information of arriving cells. A fault diagnosis of the bridge memories is provided by comparing the contents of the bridge memories, using more than one system.
