  • Patent number: 4677669
Abstract: Battery feed circuit for a pair of subscriber lines includes a voltage drive circuit with an operational amplifier having a predetermined output impedance determined by an alternating current terminal impedance for the pair of subscriber lines. Both voice signals and induced noise signals are terminated by the voltage drive circuit. The voltage drive circuit is connected in parallel with an electronic inductance circuit, between one of the subscriber lines and ground or a direct current voltage supply.

  • Patent number: 4631366
Abstract: A battery feed circuit for a subscriber line includes first and second feed circuit parts, each supplying a constant current to a corresponding subscriber line. The first and second feed circuit parts are provided with at least one of a common mode noise suppressor and a power source noise suppressor. The common mode noise suppressor includes first and second reference voltage output circuits and an intermediate voltage output circuit to produce the voltage between the first and second subscriber lines and superpose the same onto the first and second reference voltages. The power source noise suppressor functions to cancel the power source noise voltage at the output, of the first and second feed circuit parts.

  • Patent number: 4588860
Abstract: A battery feed circuit for a two-wire telephone subscriber line is miniaturized by an electronic integrated circuit without a transformer. The electronic battery feed circuit is composed of first and second operational amplifiers, output resistors, a DC voltage feedback loop, an AC signal feedback loop and a switching power supply. The switching power supply means is to control the power source voltage of the first operational amplifier, corresponding to the length of the subscriber line loop and the status of a telephone set in the loop. Low power consumption of the circuit is attained as follows. Most of power loss of the circuit can be separated as between the amplifiers and the output resistors. The loss of the output resistors are reduced by using small resistances, and the loss of the second amplifier is reduced by using a small DC bias. The loss of the first amplifier is reduced by setting its power source voltage to several volts lower than output voltage of the switching power supply.

  • Patent number: 4565240
Abstract: Pressure is exerted on the interior of casting rolls with a negative crown so that the rolls may maintain a true cylindrical surface without any crown when the continuous casting operation is initiated. When the cylindrical surface of the rolls is heated by molten metal as the continuous casting operation continues, the interior pressure of the rolls is decreased, whereby the rolls may maintain a true cylindrical surface without any crown.

  • Patent number: 4546814
Abstract: A process and an apparatus for producing rapidly solidified metallic tapes by a double-roll system are disclosed, wherein molten metal is poured into a kissing region defined between a fixed cooling roll and a movable cooling roll through a nozzle located thereabove and rapidly solidified at the kissing region to form a metallic tape. In this case, pushing forces added to the movable cooling roll by hydraulic cylinders at driving and operational sides are controlled by adding to or subtracting from a standard pushing force an adjusting quantity of the pushing force as a function of a difference between a roll gap at the driving side and a roll gap at the operational side.

  • Patent number: 4518029
Abstract: A double roll type method and apparatus for producing a thin metallic sheet by pouring a molten metal of a desired composition into a kissing region between two cooling rolls rotating in opposite directions, and rapidly cooling and solidifying the molten metal while it passes through the kissing region. The thin sheet which has come out of the kissing region is forcibly deflected by gas from a gas applying head and by a pair of pinch rolls so as to make close contact with one of the two cooling rolls over a predetermined region in the circumferential direction of the roll.

  • Patent number: 4368439
Abstract: In a frequency shift keying system, sine waves of different frequencies f.sub.0 and f.sub.1 are selectively provided as a modulated output signal in accordance with the level of an input code. One of two pulse signals having frequencies N times higher than the frequencies f.sub.0 and f.sub.1 is selected by a selector in accordance with the level of the input code, and the selector output pulse signal is frequency divided by a counter down to 1/N to obtain a pulse signal having a duty ratio of 50% and a frequency of f.sub.0 or f.sub.1. The pulse signal obtained is converted by a low-pass filter into a sine wave. The modulated output signal has no phase shift even at the point of transition of the input code level and has continuity and hence has little modulation distortion.
