  • Patent number: 7201995
Abstract: A battery positive cover (20) is provided for a battery terminal and a wire harness. The battery positive cover (20) has inclined portions (36, 38) that can be pressed from an outer side of a sectionally U-shaped wire harness-mounting part (24) toward the inner side thereof. The inclined portions (36, 38) project from opposed facing tips at an entry (24B) of the wire harness-mounting part (24) and incline towards the inner side of the wire harness-mounting part (24). A wall (24C, 24D) of the wire harness-mounting part (24) can be elastically deformed from a holding position to an open position.

  • Patent number: 6347952
Abstract: A connector includes first and second housings (10; 20). A lock arm (27) is formed on the second housing (20) and includes a lock (30) and striking portions (31). The lock (30) moves onto a locking projection (13) of the first housing (10) during a connecting operation and engages the locking projection (13) when the housings (10; 20) are connected properly. The striking portions (31) are formed separately from the lock (30) and produce a sound upon striking upon the first housing (10) when the housings (10; 20) are connected properly with each other. Since the striking portions (31) or producing a striking sound and the lock (30) for locking are separately formed, a vertical dimension of an engaging area of the lock (30) with the locking projection (13) can be reduced to suppress a degree of elastic deformation of the lock arm (27) while securely producing the striking sound.

  • Patent number: 6035730
Abstract: A grommet 11 includes a vehicle body mount portion 11a to be mounted on a panel of a vehicle body and a wire insertion portion 11b to be mounted on a wiring harness. A checking projection 11c is formed in a desired position on an outer surface of the vehicle body mount portion 11b of the grommet. The grommet 11 may be used with a checking device 10 formed with a grommet receptacle 10b and a checking recess 10e in which the checking projection 11c is to be fitted for checking whether the grommet is of a specified shape.

  • Patent number: 5816703
Abstract: A method of detecting a defect on the surface of a structure using an infrared radiometric thermometer. It is determined that there is a lifting defect at a region of the surface if the region has a temperature difference of 0.3.degree. C. or more in comparison with a surrounding region and has an area of 200 cm.sup.2 or more. The temperature of the surface of the structure is obtained using the infrared radiometric thermometer in a period of time from 19:00 p.m. on a day when it is clear at least in the daytime to 4:30 a.m. on the next day.
