  • Patent number: 10074428
Abstract: In a recording technique in which a plurality of light spots are simultaneously formed by using an ultra-short pulse laser and a spatial phase modulator, and a plurality of recording dots having refractive indexes different from those of the vicinities thereof are formed inside a recording medium, it is hard to make recording quality and a recording density compatible. Therefore, a plurality of dots are recorded at a predetermined dot pitch, and then other dots are recorded between the recorded dots.

  • Patent number: 9280306
Abstract: An information processing system includes an information management apparatus that accepts image generation requests and an image generation section that generates image data, which is provided independently of the information management apparatus. The information management apparatus issues a job ID in response to a print request from a client, and transmits the job ID and a URL of the image generation apparatus to the client. Based on the URL, the client directly requests the image generation apparatus for image data corresponding to the job ID.

  • Patent number: 8273149
Abstract: The present invention provides a nanowire production method that is simpler than conventional nanowire production methods, and that makes it easier to control the size and shape of the nanowires by using a technique completely different from the conventional ones. A powder particle containing a metal element is divided into nanometer-size wires containing the metal element by irradiating a suspension of the powder particles with a femtosecond laser. The present invention also makes it possible to divide the nanometer-size wires thus formed into nanometer-size particles containing the metal element by irradiating further the nanometer-size wires with the femtosecond laser.

  • Patent number: 7982900
Abstract: In a system for transmitting print data from a server apparatus for forming the print data to a client apparatus and performing print based on the print data, it is an object of the invention to improve security of printed matter by inhibiting reprint using the print data stored in the client apparatus and improve operability upon reprinting.

  • Patent number: 7633640
Abstract: There is disclosed a network print system which aims at printing high-quality image data of, e.g., a form or the like generated using a Web browser. When a form image is displayed on a Web browser of a client, and its print process is instructed, the instruction is sent to a server. The server searches a form template storage unit for an appropriate template, merges it with data by an image generation unit, converts the merged data into PDL data by a print output unit, and prints the converted data as a high-quality image from a printer.

  • Patent number: 7634719
Abstract: It is desirable for a user to perform optimum printing business in an environment of a print system used by the user, without being conscious of a function of forming document printing data by a server and a function of forming the document printing data by a client. If software for the function of forming the document printing data by the client is installed in a terminal of the client operated by the user, document-form data and document data are distributed from the server to the client in order to use the function.

  • Patent number: 7126704
Abstract: A network print system which aims at printing high-quality image data of a form is generated using a Web browser. In response to a request from a client to print or to display a document, a server merges an appropriate template with the variable data to produce print data or display data, as the case may be; however, based on whether certain authorization or restriction conditions are applicable to the request being processed, the server in an appropriate case inhibits generation of print data or display data, so that the print request or display request is not fulfilled.

  • Publication number: 20050193771
Abstract: When separated phases are formed in a glass by a nucleation and growth mechanism, a phase separation region only in a small desired area is difficult to form by a conventional method, in which the entire glass is heated. Thus, an optical waveguide structure, or a photonic crystal, which requires an orderly arrangement of high-refractive-index regions, cannot be manufactured. The present invention provides a method for forming a phase separation region by converging a laser pulse in a glass containing a metastable immiscible phase to separate only an area at a focal point of the laser or in the vicinity of the focal point into phases. The focal point of the laser is moved continuously or intermittently relative to the glass to form a linear phase separation region or a dotted phase separation region in two or three dimensions in the glass. The pulse width of the laser is preferably between 10 femtoseconds and 10 picoseconds.
