  • Publication number: 20150323677
Abstract: A position calculation method includes receiving positioning support information containing at least information of a position and a velocity of a positioning satellite from an artificial satellite that transmits the positioning support information, calculating orbital information of the positioning satellite using the positioning support information, and calculating a position of a receiver using a signal from the positioning satellite and the orbital information.

  • Patent number: 9091756
Abstract: In a baseband process circuit unit, a demodulation unit demodulates a received satellite signal which carries a navigation message to obtain a demodulated data. Further, an error bit detection unit detects an error bit from among the demodulated data using a parity code included in the demodulated data. An inconsistent bit detection unit detects an inconsistent bit by comparing the demodulated data with prescribed comparison data. An adoption determination unit determines whether or not to adopt the demodulated data, based on a difference between the error bit and the inconsistent bit. In addition, a correction unit corrects the demodulated data, in a case where the demodulated data is determined to be adopted by the adoption determination unit.

  • Patent number: 8373592
Abstract: A method of determining an initial position in executing a positioning calculation based on satellite signals from positioning satellites, includes: (a) executing position converging calculation based on the satellite signals using each of a plurality of first candidate positions as a provisional initial position; (b) selecting at least one second candidate position from the first candidate positions based on a calculation result of the position converging calculation; and (c) selecting the initial position from one of the second candidate positions using the satellite signals.

  • Publication number: 20070203647
Abstract: A positioning device includes a position calculation section which calculates a determined position of the positioning device based on a satellite signal S1 and the like, a velocity calculation section which calculates moving velocity of the positioning device, a stationary state determination section which determines whether or not a stationary state condition beta is satisfied in which a time elapsed from the last positioning is within an allowable time range specified in advance, moving velocity v0 during the last positioning is within a first velocity allowable range specified in advance, and current moving velocity v1 is within a second velocity allowable range specified in advance, an average position calculation section which calculates an average position Q1 by averaging a determined position P0 during the last positioning and a current determined position P1, and the like.
