  • Patent number: 10683117
Abstract: A container sealing apparatus including: a rotating spindle (24); a rotating turret means (38) disposed around the rotating spindle and having pockets (40) along a circular transport path; container support means (42) arranged below the rotating turret means in correspondence with the pockets (40), and which can rotate about the rotating spindle and rotate on their axes; lid pressing means (44) arranged above the rotating turret means in correspondence with the container support means, which can rotate about the rotating spindle and rotate on their axes, and can ascend and descend relative to the container support means; and laser irradiation means (46) capable of rotating about the rotating spindle and adapted to direct laser light toward the container (2), against which the lid (14) has been pressed by the container support means and the lid pressing means, thereby heat welding the lid (14) to the container.

  • Patent number: 10315809
Abstract: A drop lid-shaped formed lid to be fittably applied to a container having a flange section is formed with a flange, a fitting section extending downwardly from the flange, and an introducing section below the fitting section. The introducing section is composed of first and second tapered sections whose inner diameters each decrease downwardly. The taper angle ? of the second tapered section is larger than the taper angle ? of the first tapered section, and the second tapered section is formed in an arcuate shape smaller than a range in which the first tapered section is formed.

  • Patent number: 9550596
Abstract: A method of sealing a container and a lid by melt adhesion by laser. Either the container or the lid has a thermoplastic resin that permits the laser beam to transmit through and the other one has a resin composition of the thermoplastic resin containing a heat-generating substance. Further, the laser beam applies a rectangular beam having a uniform intensity distribution. The upper-limit of temperature is not lower than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin but lower than a thermal decomposition start temperature thereof in the melt adhesion interface between the container and the lid, and the temperature reaches the upper-limit in a heating time t (msec) represented by the following formula (1), t (msec)=L/S??(1) where L is the length (mm) of the rectangular beam in the scanning direction, and S is the rate of laser scanning (mm/msec) of not higher than 1.65 mm/msec.

  • Patent number: 8349420
Abstract: A sealed packing body comprising a packing body made from a laminated material and a sealing member for sealing the packing body; wherein the laminated material includes a base material layer, a thermoplastic resin layer containing an iron powder, and a thermoplastic resin layer which permits a laser beam to pass through, at least the surface of the sealing member which comes in contact with the packing body comprising a thermoplastic resin which permits the laser beam to pass through; and the surfaces of the packing body and the sealing member coming in contact are sealed together by laser welding. It is, therefore, allowed to effectively utilize the iron powder that has, heretofore, been utilized as an oxygen absorber of the packing containers and to efficiently conduct the laser welding.
