  • Patent number: 8342002
Abstract: An inspection apparatus including a cylindrical chamber having an opening part and a bottomed end part. The chamber includes an element insertion/extraction part, a tapered part, and a gas introduction part. The element insertion/extraction part is a tubular space continuous from the opening part. The tapered part is connected to the element insertion/extraction part, and is a space having a tapered shape in a cross-sectional view sectioned perpendicularly so that a lengthwise direction is larger toward the inner side. The gas introduction part is a tubular space continuously extending from the tapered part to a bottom portion. A sensor element is inserted into the chamber such that a front end thereof reaches the tapered part while a gap is formed between the sensor element and the chamber, and in this condition, an inspection gas is supplied to the chamber through a supply port provided in the gas introduction part.

  • Patent number: 7922904
Abstract: The present invention provides an upward-flow manganese contact column for feeding raw water to a manganese catalyst-packed layer through a plurality of dispersion nozzles provided at the upper surface of a chamber by forming the chamber for allowing raw water to flow in at the bottom of a column body into which a granular manganese catalyst is packed. Each dispersion nozzle has an umbrella portion above a perpendicular nozzle body, and the umbrella portion is configured so that the lower end of the umbrella portion is elongated below the upper end of the nozzle body. Raw water is supplied to the entire manganese catalyst-packed layer from the lower end of the umbrella portion of each dispersion nozzle. It is capable, of exhibiting stable treatment ability for a long time by suppressing particles of the manganese catalyst from being worn by collisions of the particles.

  • Patent number: 5677838
Abstract: A computer (CPU) applied a faulty operation prevention circuit outputs a pulse signal having a predetermined period during normal operation. If the computer does not output the pulse signal during the predetermined period, a AND gate in the faulty operation prevention circuit shuts off a control signal output from the computer which can ignite a squib in a vehicular occupant protecting system because the computer is not working. The AND gate keeps shutting off the control signal until the computer outputs the pulse signal. Therefore, the faulty operation prevention circuit prevents the squib from being ignited based on a faulty operation of the computer.

  • Patent number: 4724604
Abstract: A method for fitting a ring coil in a channel formed in the inner circumference surface of a hollow cylindrical member comprises a step of deforming the ring coil by applying a force to one or more portions thereof radially outwardly. The deformation of the ring coil causes a reduction of the circumscribed circle diameter facilitating its insertion into the member. After the insertion, the deformed portions are respectively outwardly pressed so that the non-deformed portions are respectively engaged with the channel. Subsequently, the deformed coil is sequentially pressed to the bottom surface of the channel are around so that the deformed coil is returned to its original shape and the whole of the coil is perfectly fitted in the channel.
