Publication number: 20090169335Abstract: An internal thread hole closing plug for closing an internal thread hole in a weld nut and a hole in a body panel includes a flange, column and elastic latching pieces and that extend from the column toward the flange and away from the column. The tips of the elastic latching pieces engage the thread flanks of the internal thread hole in correspondence with the lead angle of the threads thereof to align the axis of the column with the axis of the internal thread hole. The pair of lower elastic latching pieces extend in one radial direction, centered on the column, and the pair of upper elastic latching pieces extend in a radial direction that crosses the lower elastic latching pieces. This causes the axis of the column to be aligned with the axis of the internal thread hole when the column is passed through the internal thread hole.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 18, 2008Publication date: July 2, 2009Applicant: NEWFREY LLCInventors: Kiyoteru YUTA, Takashi TAMAOKI, Makoto HANADA

Publication number: 20070215757Abstract: An integrally molded vibration-insulation plastic fastener comprises a base and a pair of clamps. Each clamp has a U-shaped receiving member with an opening into which an elongated component can be inserted to be held in the clamp. The openings of the U-shaped receiving members of the respective clamps face in different directions. Each clamp has a hinged cover moveable between an open position and a closed position at which the cover closes a corresponding opening. Each U-shaped receiving member is spaced from a corresponding base part except at predetermined regions where the receiving member is connected to the corresponding base part. In some embodiments protrusions are provided in space between the U-shaped receiving member and the corresponding base part.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2007Publication date: September 20, 2007Inventor: Kiyoteru Yuta

Patent number: 7140070Abstract: A fastener attaches a wire harness and an end of a floor carpet to a rocker panel of a vehicle and provides support for a rocker molding independently of the rocker panel. The wire harness includes a pair of arcuate arms pivotally mounted on a base of the fastener and having free ends that connect to one another to form a cylindrical wire harness holder that surrounds a wire harness. One of the arcuate arms is latched to the base and assists in retaining an end of the carpet on the base. Spaced rocker molding engagement portions on the base and on the one arcuate arm receive and retain respective legs of the rocker molding.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2003Date of Patent: November 28, 2006Assignee: Newfrey LLCInventors: Kiyoteru Yuta, Yoshimichi Matsudaira, Masashi Dendo, Motoya Kimura, Shinji Hosoi, Masanori Sato

Patent number: 7059022Abstract: A spacer (10) to be inserted into a dash silencer comprises a cylindrical hollow body (12), a first flange (13) extending radially outward from one of the ends of the body, a second flange (a contact flange) (14) extending radially outward from the other end of the body, and a plurality of engagement pawls each extending from the outer surface of the other end of the body toward the first flange. The engagement pawls include a resilient engagement pawl (17) and a rigid engagement pawl (18). The contact flange has an outer diameter slightly larger than the hole diameter of a mounting hole formed in the dash silencer to allow the spacer to be readily inserted into the mounting hole. Each of the engagement pawls (17, 18) has an outer shape expanding upwards outward to allow the spacer to be inserted into the mounting hole while aligning the respective centers of the spacer the mounting hole with one another.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2004Date of Patent: June 13, 2006Assignee: Newfrey LLCInventors: Kiyoteru Yuta, Osamu Uemura

Patent number: 5944467Abstract: To provide a press nut being capable of easily attaching and detaching the nut to and from a bolt by linearly pressing the nut along the bolt and by linearly drawing the nut along the bolt a press nut 1 has a nut body 2 of plastic, tubular cap 3 of plastic to receive the nut body thereinto to connect the nut body thereto, and a cover 6 to axially move the nut body in relative to the cap. The nut body 2 comprises a base 13, two threaded portions 15 having threaded inner walls to form a nut as a whole, and spring portions 14 to force the respective threaded portions to press them up from the base. The nut body is housed in the cap in the manner that the threaded portions are adjacent to a flange 10 of the cap 3 and the base is adjacent to an opening of the cap.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 1998Date of Patent: August 31, 1999Assignee: Emhart Inc.Inventor: Kiyoteru Yuta
