  • Patent number: 4598729
Abstract: A negative pressure control valve for generating a negative pressure has an inlet port communicating with a negative pressure source, an outlet port communicating with a negative pressure load, a diaphragm chamber with one surface defined by a diaphragm, and an atmospheric pressure chamber adjacent to the diaphragm chamber through the diaphragm and communicating with atmospheric pressure. The diaphragm holds a valve holding member. A solenoid operated mechanism which moves the valve holding member to a first or second position in accordance with an exciting current is disposed in the atmospheric pressure chamber. The valve holding member has a valve mechanism which communicates the diaphragm chamber with the atmospheric pressure chamber at the first position and seals a channel between those chambers at the second position. The solenoid operated mechanism selectively communicates the diaphragm chamber with the atmospheric pressure chamber.

  • Patent number: 4440139
Abstract: A vacuum modulating chamber of a vacuum control valve is communicated with a diaphragm chamber of a EGR valve for controlling an amount of exhaust gas to be recirculated into combustion chambers of an engine, so that a modulated negative pressure is applied thereto. The chamber is provided with a diaphragm deflected responding to the negative pressure in the chamber. The vacuum control valve is further provided with a cam member and a spring which urges the diaphragm in one direction so as to change a value at which the pressure in the vacuum modulating chamber is controlled. A push rod is movably held by a cam follower and another spring is provided for urging the push rod in the above direction. The spring force of the other spring is applied to the diaphragm, when a rotational angle of the cam member exceeds a predetermined angle, so that the negative pressure is changed rapidly.

  • Patent number: 4330004
Abstract: An electromagnetic valve comprises yoke means having a pair of projecting elements which protrude outwardly in the mounting side of said valve, one of said projecting elements having at its outward end a pawl which is outwardly bent, and the other projecting element having its outer end portion which is inwardly bent substantially at right angle, said outer end portion having a threaded aperture for bolting said yoke means to a mounting bracket, said pawl in said one projecting element being engaged by an opening which is formed in said mounting bracket.

  • Patent number: 4326696
Abstract: A solenoid valve for opening and closing a fluid passage formed therein by the movement of a movable core in which a coil is wound around a resin bobbin and a stator core is fixed at one end portion of a center hole of the bobbin. A magnetic path plate having a ring-shaped portion and a flanged portion is insert-moulded in a body of the bobbin with a part of the flanged portion protruding radially to the outside of the body of the bobbin. The magnetic path plate is disposed such that the inner surface of the ring-shaped portion surrounds the outer surface of the moving core and the ring-shaped portion is concentric with the center hole of the bobbin. Since the protruding flanged portion is connected mechanically to one end of a yoke, a magnetic path is provided between the movable core and the yoke through the magnetic path plate with a reduced reluctance.
