  • Patent number: 10417291
Abstract: An information processing apparatus is configured to provide a result of a search according to a search input given via an input unit so as to provide, as the result of the search, information that matches registered user information associated with a particular registered user. The information processing apparatus includes a matching information search unit that retrieves information that matches the registered user information according to the search input, a matching level calculation unit that calculates a matching level, with respect to the registered user information, of the information obtained as the result of the search performed by the matching information search unit, and a search result providing unit that provides, together with the result of the search, the matching level with respect to the registered user information calculated by the matching level calculation unit.

  • Patent number: 7706974
Abstract: The invention provides a navigation device that displays a map image representing a map and a recommended route graphic representing a recommended route from a current location to a destination on the map image. The navigation device includes a self intersecting place detection unit that detects a place where the recommended route intersects itself as a self intersecting place, and a recommended route plotting unit that plots the recommended route graphic on the map image so as to display part of the recommended route graphic corresponding to an interval to be passed next through the self intersecting place, and parts of the recommended route graphic corresponding to the intervals passing through the self intersecting place other than the interval to be passed next, in different display modes. Thus, it is possible to display the recommended route on the map so that the user will easily recognize the correct travel path at the self intersecting place on the recommended route.

  • Patent number: 6871143
Abstract: A navigation route obstructed-by-building detection unit detects that a navigation route is obstructed by buildings, and a modified navigation route drawing unit in a navigation route drawing unit displays the navigation route by lifting it on or above the buildings. At the time, a ratio of obstructed portion calculating unit calculates the ratio of the portion of the navigation route obstructed by the buildings, and a display of navigation route in lifted state discriminating unit determines whether or not the ratio is equal to or larger than a predetermined value. When the ratio is equal to or larger than the predetermined value, an amount of navigation route displayed in lifted state calculating unit calculates a lifting amount, and a modified navigation route drawing unit displays the navigation route by lifting it by the lifting amount.

  • Patent number: 6535812
Abstract: In a stereoscopic map display method for an on-vehicle navigation apparatus, in displaying a town map, a threshold value is changed in accordance with the display scale; buildings taller than the threshold value are displayed stereoscopically; and buildings shorter than the threshold value are displayed monoscopically. Furthermore, of the buildings displayed stereoscopically, buildings as tall as or taller than a particular height are displayed as opaque images while the other buildings are displayed as transparent or semitransparent images. Furthermore, in displaying the buildings taller than the threshold value, shadows may be drawn as the buildings are projected.
