Abstract: Provided is a color selecting method in an information processing device that perform signal interaction with a position indicator, the color selecting method including detecting a circular motion operation of the position indicator and selecting a hue, detecting a rectilinear motion operation of the position indicator and selecting a first one of a saturation or a lightness, detecting a displacement quantity or a displacement position based on a movement of the position indicator in a direction intersecting a direction of the rectilinear motion operation and selecting a second one of the saturation or the lightness, and selecting a color based on the hue selected according to the circular motion operation, the first one of the saturation or the lightness selected according to the rectilinear motion operation, and the second one of the saturation or the lightness selected according to the displacement quantity or the displacement position.

Abstract: An electronic pen is realized which includes a side switch that has a simple configuration and enables instruction inputs of a plurality of states to be performed easily and properly. The electronic pen has a side switch unit provided at a side surface of a pen body to be gripped by a user. The side switch unit includes a sensor unit in which capacitive sensors and pressure sensing sensors are provided as two kinds of touch sensors of different detection systems such that sensor regions (detection regions) are superimposed on each other. Thus, at least a case of performing an operation in such a manner as to act on one touch sensor and a case of performing an operation in such a manner as to act on both touch sensors simultaneously can be indicated through the side switch unit.

Abstract: A position detection device includes a position detection sensor including a position detection region corresponding to an instruction input surface for receiving an instruction input by an indicator, a position detection circuit which, in operation, detects at least a position of an instruction in the position detection region of the position detection sensor based on an interaction of the position detection sensor and the indicator, and a plurality of motion sensors. The position detection sensor includes a flexibly displaceable part that is deformable together with the instruction input surface according to an operation of a user, and the flexibly displaceable part is disposed between two of the motion sensors.
