Abstract: A stationary supporting structure comprising one or more columns each assembled from a prefabricated concrete foundation element having a vertical steel tube linked to its upper surface to serve as a guide for annular prefabricated concrete elements which are successively threaded onto the tube. Initial skew due to an inclined ground at the erection site and tolerances in the length of any tie rods between the columns may be compensated for due to the fact that the prefabricated elements, although mating, may be displaced relatively to each other during erection of the structure, the mating surfaces being minor spherical surfaces, whereby the axis of each element can be adjusted relative to the axis of the next lower or upper element.
